thanks for this video it's great. A little trick though, to generate a consistent character of different ages, just do the same prompt by just changing the age of the person (10 years old, 20 years old, 30...) by putting a "style ref" image of the person at an average age and keeping the same seed. it works :)

Kind off, if you generate the character's in one image on a grid depicting all the scenes you can. You can cut them out, then generate the backgrounds aeoeratly, then out them on top of the scenes. A lot of editing but you can do it. I use a method, you can see in some of my videos. The lady and the man do change in one or two scenes but across them all I did OK I think. 👍

@glibatreeАй бұрын
That's a great question! I essentially got the picture of the painting I like and asked for something along the lines of: A photo of the same painting displayed twice - on on each side of the corner of a wall. I think I repeated a few times, once the corner was at the angle I like I would go back to the editor and regenerate the paintings until they matched. By the end I think I had described the contents of the painting of the wall itself and that got me there.

is it possible to use a real photo. For example, lets say we have a foto of a woman in a costume. Can i use midjourney to make an image series with her located in, lets say a law firm ? With her at a desk, or talking with her collegues.. ?
@johnhinkle1411Ай бұрын
So I tried these methods extensively, but still could not get a cohesive character. 1. When using the grid method of pasting 5 of the same images of the same character reference, it really doesn't work any better than using 1 character reference. Even when playing with --cw values, some of the images rendered look like the character while others do not. It always seems to come down to messing with the weights (cw, iw, sw) to get what you want. 2. I also tried getting multiple angles of the character using your Editor method, but I swear....the editor renders come out as pure garbage...lol. I clearly give it the SAME prompts you outline in the video (multiple angles, front and side view, etc) and over half the time, it wont even render a character, just background. I have a love hate relationship with MJ editor as it seems it doesn't really work that well for me. 2. Now here's the part that I was REALLY EXCITED about. Rendering a template image, then using the editor and character prompt/images to essentially face swap your character on the scene. I got horrible results. It seems the Editor will paste on a face that looks really "photoshopped". It doesn't look good at all and doesn't look like my reference prompt or image. I've tried multiple variations, with multiple prompts, with no success at all. Almost all the images rendered by Editor look really bad when it comes to characters.
@glibatreeАй бұрын
It sounds to me that you're defining what you want really well for midjourney, but 1 CPU minute isn't enough for it to actually pull it off. These are all very common issues, ESPECIALLY when you're generating your character within the image at a distance. As in, if the characters face doesn't take up a pretty high portion of the image- often the details can get lost. But it can also happen if there's a lot going on for your character pose-wise or the cref and the prompts don't really match. As far as advice, I would suggest beginning with simpler and more close-up ideas until you have a good feel for what results are beyond Midjourney in it's current state. Not everything is going to be possible in a single step. But if you zoom out slowly with several generations, making sure to generate the details you care most about first, I bet you can get pretty close to your ideas.
@johnhinkle1411Ай бұрын
@@glibatree Thanks. All Im saying is I tried out your setups several times with a lot of different variables and they just didn't seem to be consistent and work that well. I had better luck just playing around with weights. I highly recommend anyone who doesn't want to deal with the inconsistent nature of MJ when it comes to faces, they try FaceFusion. Works very well and you're not spending an hour on each character for mediocre results.

@glibatreeАй бұрын
The editor option I showed in this video is available to all midjourney subscribers. The Edit/Retexture feature for uploaded files is a new (separate) feature, and is currently in an early testing status. Only users who have generated more than 10,000 images, been a subscriber for the past year, or are currently paying for a yearly membership-- So if your talking about that feature, unfortunately yes you're right... But the requirements are intentionally too high right now while it's being tested. I bet you'll get access in a couple weeks even if you don't buy anything else.
@brainstormyyyyАй бұрын
@@glibatree hey ..thank you so much for replying . Ohh .. it is a different feature . Thats a bit of relief . I was worried about the edit feature which helps in generating the consistent images . As in when you upload one image of a movie star and get a smiliar AI version of that in different scenarios with consistent facial features. That happens in an edit feature . So i thought maybe it's that edit feature which has been reserved to only annual members
