I feel like it's worth putting glide in context with the rest of the numbers. A beginner could pick up a berg and a destroyer and end up throwing the berg farther because the destroyer's glide only takes effect when they can get higher spin speeds. Good explanation of glide by itself though. Thank you for the video.

Thanks Josh, appreciate the feedback! Yeah, we wouldn’t suggest buying a disc solely on its glide. All the other numbers are just as important, and will equally influence how a disc flies 👍

I put with the Keystone and really like it. I’m not sure if the extra glide makes a difference from short distances, or if it’s just in my head. I mostly love the feel in my hands of the Keystone. I do enjoy the Reko and Berg a lot for my upshots or longer puts. I’m fairly new to the game and still figuring things out. Your videos have been super helpful!

Flat topped MVP Glitch (7 glide) has entered the chat. ;) But yes, agree with most everything else. If you're trying to hit a specific landing point then high glide discs offer less control.

Glide seems to go hand in hand with stability with a few exceptions. Some of those I think are misnumbered, like the Valk. No way it's only a 4. Innova's own description is "The Valkyrie is a turnover distance driver with great glide" lol . The Wolf may be a true exception, but I have never thrown one.

Exactly, you can almost tell glide by stability. It sometimes feels like a redundant flight number, honestly.

Yeah I would say the Valkyrie has a 6 glide, personally. The ones I've thrown at least. But I wouldn't object to a 5 glide. I disagree with 4 glide.

It’s not actually. An Overstable destroyer still has a lot of glide compared to a disc that doesn’t. However, most fairway and distance drivers almost always have glides of 5-7. It’s really only the putters and midranges that vary greatly

We only know disc golf discs. Good question though 👍

Its more of a rhetorical question because it really is the wing that determines the "glide" or "loft" of a disc. Domed discs often get that way because of the cooling process and therefore affect the shape of the wing creating more loft. It's just one of those perpetual myths that gets recycled over and over in our game. @@JustDisc
