That's awesome! This movie helped solidify my love with aviation too! I now do maintenence for jets at American Airlines. And now finally working on that pilots license! Commiting my life to aviation was the best thing i ever decided to do!

This movie, the one you mentioned, "Dumb and Dumber", "The Crossing" , in which he plays George Washington, "Because of Whinn Dixie", "Speed", etc. That kind of talent isn't seen often. Definitely one of my top ten favorite actors, if not my number one favorite.

My guess, Dad just did something crazy that could nearly kill him, but he’s alive and he proves it by being a dork!

Her mother had recently died in a car accident and she was in the car. Now all she has is her dad and watching him crash like that probably made for a split second that she just watched him die. And probably brought up the feelings from her moms accident so she was stunned. Then when he got out she probably just ran feeling emotions

The sense I got was that at this point in the movie she was still not really connecting with him, didn't feel close with him or really liking him. Thought he was a weirdo she was forced to live with after her mom died. Seeing this just reinforced in her mind that he is a bit nuts. The geese ended up bringing them together, a father-daughter bonding experience.
