@ThyGreenKnight2 жыл бұрын
I think that the barrier between the dark and light worlds continued to deteriorate and thus the bird was able to enter the dark world. Remember, you can access the dark world through the main gate to the castle after the first Agahnim battle. But that's just a theory... If not, then the eagles probably could have flown the Hobbits to Mount Doom or something.

The GBA version has you able to use a glitch to force your way into the Four Sword Dungeon without ever playing Four Swords. I'm going strictly by memory, but it involves you getting into the Thieves' Town dungeon. I don't remember which ledge it is in the 4 big rooms at the start but you need to bomb jump off of it to be able to go through the walls. If you can meander your way through the glitchy mess of rooms, you'll find yourself in the Palace of the Four Sword slightly past the mook who blocks you from entering if you never played Four Swords. The dungeon isn't easy, as you'll face tougher versions of several dungeon bosses before facing off against a new final boss.

I’m sure someone has already pointed this out, but if not… At Ganon’s Tower, if you mirror to the entrance from a conveyor belt the momentum is conserved and you can then use a Somaria block to clip into the left side of the wall to move past the loading zone for outside and transition down one screen. Ironically, the first screen of the tower is right above the last screen of the tower right before the Aganhim fight.

This was the hardest game to beat in my childhood, well compared to Tom and Jerry on the NES anyway. The super bomb never appeared in my original playthrough on my cartridge. Years later, I load up the game on a whim. See the bomb and promptly get that rush of adrenaline. Nothing compares to the feeling you get when you overcome something a younger version of yourself struggled with. Ever since then every LoZ game that has a custom name available is always 'GOD...', in memory of that original save files name, to remind myself that it may take time but any problem can be overcome :)

14:23 "Even though we still don't have a sword, saving Zelda, for some reason, unlocked the ability for Link to swing his arm with B as though he does." I KNOW THE REASON! The reason is that, at the beginning of the game, you are given an invisible follower. While this invisible follower is following you, your ability to swing your arm is disabled. This invisible follower is also responsible for the telepathic plea once every 60 seconds that you get from Zelda. This invisible follower goes away after you speak with your uncle. However, once you reach Zelda, she becomes your follower and, like when you have no follower, does not prevent you from swinging your arm. Bringing her to the Sanctuary plays a cutscene that moves her to her rescue location. Once you leave the sanctuary, you have an empty follower slot and may swing your arm freely. I am certain this is also how the digging minigame works: when you choose to play the game, you are given an invisible follower that changes your Y button function from whatever your item is to the shovel. Notably, you cannot play this minigame if you have the frog (blacksmith), purple chest, or super bomb following you. BTW, those Sandshrew-looking things are called Deadrocks, and everybody hates them. If you manage to light the left torch while fighting Ganon before the right torch goes out, BTW, the right torch will remain lit for the entire fight, which saves a bit on magic.

The first glitch I ever learned was a version of dark mountain decent using the broken bridge in the dark world. In my opinion it’s easier if you don’t know how to buffer into the walls. It’s a simpler version of portal shifting. But your way is definitely faster. Also, I’m surprised you didn’t mention the torch glitch for ganon. It makes you always be able to see him and it’s fairly easy with the lamp. Not saying your info or video is bad by any means. It was the first I have seen by you, and I very much enjoyed it. Very informative and well put together. Especially when talking about EG and key duplication. Great job.

Using the screen wrap in the overworld, I've been able to even access very weird "garbage" screens that crash the game instantly upon entering. Also you can find "dummy" versions of familiar looking screens that are very corrupted, and going in the wrong direction instantly pixel-fades out the screen like when you enter the woods. Using a walk through walls code reveals that these screens just duplicate their terrain infinitely if you keep going, so there's no way to leave them once you've entered them. Another thing...in the second smaller underworld (I think is what causes this), it looks like entering a building using this second map, then exiting, will NOT fix a screen wrap. You are normal when entering the building, but upon exiting, you're shadowless Link in the wrong place again XD

By the way, the Citrus Clip is also named after the same Yuzuhara of Yuzuhara's Bottle Adventure fame - a yuzu being a citrus fruit native to Japan and in the glitch hunter's name. When I first got this game I played for hours at a time and eventually beat the game. I did however learn later these games contained glitches and for me it was easier to perform some glitches in Zelda Ocarina of Time 64 and even Perfect Dark 64 than glitches in Zelda A Link to the Past. I tried to get the glitches to work and couldn't do that like the other two games. I also found something called cartridge tilting that helped me in Zelda Ocarina of Time 64 as well and I finally beat the game, it took me less time to beat Zelda A Link to the Past and Zelda Majora's Mask combined. Those are the games I like the best, cool and retro! Play On! 🎮

I just cannot figure out for the life of me why nintendo chose the SNES port instead of the GBA remake! It honestly makes no sense. They went with the DX version for Links Awakening, all the NES mario games are from the SNES Allstars game. The GBA version is just so much more crisp and I love the voice sounds that they added from OOT. A very minor glitch i use in Ganon, to make it even easier, is torch glitch. The torches go out after a few frames from each other, but if you light the first touch again, it skips the check on the second. In other words, only the left touch goes out. This glitch is nigh mandatory in master sword no silver arrows runs, as the window to hit him would be insanely small with the best rng. Compared to YBA or EG, it's minor, but still useful, especially with randomizers
