When I did medical examinations on professional drivers , I had to fail about 10- 15 % of candidates for some medical issues , some even did not take their medication, or others needed a complete new workup as some new conditions never addressed by candidate or GP. Problem in UK is that DVLA accepts medical D4 reports from any GMC registered UK doctor, many working for extra cash for a vast number of cheap private " driver medical " companies( like I did) and candidates can easily get another medical booked if they fail one at another clinic. My suggestion to DVLA to only accept reports from the OWN GP of applicant, was never taken up. Hence this third world system. As examiner, you have no idea what other problems the candidate has as you don't have access to full medical records. That is for a licence which has the potential to endanger passengers as well as public on roads with 3,5- 7,5- 44 tonnes. Mad.

This could not have been 2:13 pm. I'm pretty sure it should be 2:33 pm. It is still down there, but don't expect it to ever see a train.
