So, after hearing this remix, I decided to boot up my old copy of soulsilver to try and remember what the original sounded like. And while standing on that route with my trusty mewtwo standing behind me (I love that feature, it really needs to return), all the nostalgia began to hit me. Soulsilver wasn't my first pokemon game, but it was the one that left the most impact. I just forgot that after all the other games. Thank you glitch. Thank you for making me remember just why I continued, not stopping at pearl. Thank you. I can only hope you'll continue on with these amazing remixes.

Woxxii my starter? I transferred it all the way across to omega ruby, one game at a time. I always do that. its kind of a tradition for me. but for once, I left mewtwo behind. maybe it was because I had finally found all the golden leaves to make the golden crown for it, or maybe because it was the first time I had ever encountered the pokemon (I originally never got past cerulean city in firered) and it was the one that sparked my love for it. or maybe it was because I had put so much effort into raising it to level 100, or maybe it's because of the 'pokemon walking behind' feature. I honestly don't know. you have to understand, I didn't come across mewtwo in the anime first, or via pokemon mansion. I just found it in cereulean cave as a weird looking, powerful pokemon. all I had was its cryptic pokedex entry to go on. so I made my own stories. about a year later, I found that there was a movie, no TWO movies on it, and then I learnt all about its colourful backstory about team rocket and Amber and Ash. I forst liked it, not because of its backstory or power, but because out of all the 400-ish pokemon at the time, that one somehow piqued my interest.

+Joey Richards Perez well HG/SS are just updated and somewhat modified versions of the original Gold/Silver/Crystal, but besides updating the games from gen 2 to gen 4...they did add several new features, not jsut stuff like the GTS, but even the Safari Zone and some other places that didnt exist in the original gen 2 games tbh...while gen 1 is what got me hooked on pokemon back in 1998...gen 2 easily had the biggest impact on me out of all the games and generations so far...and Heart Gold/Soul Silver was far more than sheer joy from nostalgia for me really wish i had copies of those 2 right now..i need to nab those and also Diamond/Pearl/Platinum eventually...wont be easy to get all 5 games for a decent price and im extremely picky/stubborn about buying Used games so chances are ill be paying quite a bit

20 years of awesomeness, one of my favorite tracks from any pokemon game, i may have only been around since 2002, but god, pokemon has had such an impact on my life, the friends ive made from it, the partners in game, the emotions from playing the remakes, catching them all, it makes me feel happy, i will always love pokemon for what it is, and always will, im glad nintendo decided to make this franchise, i do not know what i would be without pokemon, heres to 20 years, lets have 20 more, now excuse me, i gotta get my old pikachu out of my pc box, and mega evolve my best pokemon, lucario, and show the bonds and friendships ive made over the years, in the aloa region.
