The only games that have done this is Red/Blue, its remakes, Gold/Silver and its remakes, Black/White 1, Legends Arceus and now Scarlet/Violet. I definitely like this format more, instead of the final battle always being after the plot ends at the 7th badge/trial.

Black and white 1 aswell as gold/silver is false due to the final battle(alder for b/w, red for gold/silver) happening in the postgame, not in the main plot. @@Kristiano100

@@Kristiano100Technically Gold and Silver (and maybe even Red&Blue) don’t count if you consider the Team Rocket encounters to be the plot, but Gen 2 was fairly plotless so I guess the final battle is automatically the climax. Gen 1 has a better case since your rival being the champion was kind of a big deal.

I think Scarlet/Violet nailed it this time around, everything truly felt like it came together in the end. Hopefully we'll keep seeing this trend in future games.

When KZbin recommends you a great video. By far my favorite track in the game. The betrayal is still in it, proffesors are people who are so trusted and revered. She was able to work unchecked because they were trusted. To find out that they're corrupted and almost brought calamity on paldea was a great twist. I also felt bad for the ai being used like a puppet and the fact that arvens parent is not alive anymore. They don't really get much closure. They're just gone. He does get told they were in fact loved by their parent by the ai but it's not enough.

This is the best of the bunch, I never really noticed how the Tera Raid theme is built into this track until you emphasized it so well in two different parts!

This ending really got me. I had suspicions once I got into Area Zero. Then Sada has a freak out at the last lab lock and yeah... it really freaked me out but got me jazzed as well. As weird and Nemona as I sound right now this has to be the best ending to a Pokemon game since BW. At least imo. Tech issues aside Scarlet/Violet did a good job...

Every other fight in these games starts with “X person wants to battle!” You have the choice of battling and choose to engage in battle. This fight begins with “AI Sada/Turo has initiated a battle!” You aren’t given a choice. You are fighting for your life here. Love the details with this fight. Truly, one of my favorites. Also, remix is absolutely amazing. You killed it on this one.

In addition to this, using “initiated” instead of “wants” really shows how the AI doesn’t want to fight, but is forced to because of the programming, as if they were a puppet. It’s a battle neither side wants do fight, yet happens nonetheless. It’s heart wrenching really, no matter what point of view you look at.

2:42 I've yet to find a remix that does this part justice imo. Hear me out. In the original song, the part just before this (1:47-2:36) is hopeful, almost as if the AI is letting us know that we can do this, just push on through! Compared to the frantic nature of the other parts of the song, this instills the player with a sense of hope that things will turn out alright. Maybe the AI can wrestle back control? **Then **2:37** comes in** The music cuts out abrubtly for half a second before two rising notes play, almost like a boot up chime. Suddenly, the drums come back in a long with something else. Something that sounds like breathing... **Heavy, frantic, hyperventilated breathing.** The hopeful motif has passed and in its place is the AI being taken over by its own programming. The AI tries to fight it, breathing hard as it does, but to no avail. Eventually, the Area Zero motif starts playing again and the battle continues... Seriously, am I the only one who thinks that when I hear this part in the original? If I could actually make music, I'd emphasize that part particularly However, I will say that everything else in this remix, even 2:42, is done spectacularly! It goes without saying that your musical skill is incredible. I just wanted to speak my mind with regards to that part of the song lol
