Charmellion is also prime in Galar at 379 but not prime in Kalos at 84 or Blueberry at 168. Every dex starts with the grass, fire,and water starters of that region so every first stage water starter, second stage grass/fire starter, and third stage grass starter are primes in their regional dex. So you could make the equation even harder to solve by using different regional dexs. Another option is to use the pokemon infinite fusion dex which is currently at over 220,000 possible pokemon about 100,000 have unique sprites.
@twistedupX3 күн бұрын
Pokemon nuzlocke but you can only use pokemon who's pokedex number is a prime number
@ZunkleFunkle3 күн бұрын
If this is restricted to the respective regional dex, the only starter you could get fully evolved is the grass one but you couldn't use its first stage since 1 isn't prime.
@Soulraven27353 күн бұрын
@@ZunkleFunkleIn that case, you might have a similar rule from monotype runs where you can use a Pokemon if its evolution has that type. For example: in a gen 5 mono-fighting challenge, you can use Tepig since Pignite and Emboar are Fighting types.

I’m stealing this
@kit60243 күн бұрын
No but I love this idea and (assuming you allow 1 even though it isnt a prime number) could be even more interesting if the full challenge is "by the end of the game ONLY the prime numbers can be filled into your pokeex" - you simply Cannot catch a pre-evolution, so your starter is the only one you get to evolve full-stop. (Could also work the opposite way round where all prime numbers are banned, which has the side effect of forcing you to start with the grass or fire starter and never evolve it 😂) Alternatively, this could be converted into a really interesting thought experinemt challenge - assuming you want to fill in ONLY the prime numbers in your pokedex, which region lets you complete the most?

Fun fact, during the HGSS era of pokemon, the pokemon TCG had "special" pokemon known as pokemon prime. Pokemon prime had no special gimmick or different name, the name was mostly just used for marketing purposes. Sadly, out of the 26 (not a prime number) pokemon prime released during that year, only 9 (not a prime number) of them used pokemon that are prime numbers! Then a few years later during pokemon's 25th anniversary, pokemon released the set "celebrations" which included some throwbacks to old pokemon tcg eras, including a dragapult prime, which is a prime number! Which means now 10 (still not a prime) out of the 27 (still not a prime) of the prime pokemon are actually prime.

Assuming all pokemon are available in the game (equal chance encounter) and you mean perfect IVs for every stat, it's 172/1025 x 1/4096 x (1/32)^6, or about 3.8e-14. 3.8/100,000,000,000,000. Halve it if you have old shiny odds, so 1.9e-14. P.S. This is the odds for a single encounter, not an entire nuzlocke.

first of all, very handome and smart video!! secondly, if you want a larger pokedex, look no further than the popular fan game concept of pokemon fusions! using a dex that includes all fusion permutations wouldnt just have the benefit of 1050625 more pokemon, but would confuse hackers, because by stating a key as a fusion of two pokemon it would imply that the factors are those two pokemon. but what a fool they would be to think it that simple!

3:19 alright im going to pull out my vgc brain and tell you the proper categories for all the legendary pokemon because it frustrates me to no end that people don’t know the actual categories. Theres restricted legendaries, sub legendaries, and mythicals. Restricted legendaries are the box art pokemon plus mewtwo and the pokemon for second DLCs (ie Calyrex and Terapogos). These guys have much higher base stats (600-700 bst) than even other legendaries and typically have pretty broken moves or abilities and as a result are typically banned in competitive play. Even when they are allowed, its only 1 or 2 per team. Sub-legendary pokemon have higher base stats (550-600 bst) then your average pokemon (for reference average pokemon cap out at around 500ish), but arent (usually) as blatantly broken as your restricteds. This group includes all legendaries not on the box of a game (other then suicune, all the jhoto dogs are sub legendaries), ultra beasts, past and future paradoxes, and first dlc mon like urshifu or ogerpon. These guys are usually allowed in competitive play but there are some situations where they are illegal like in regional formats. Mythicals are event exclusive pokemon. They aren’t inherently more or less powerful than other mon, they’re just event only. They’re always banned from competitive because of their exclusivity, except for that one time they weren’t but that was over swsh era so it doesn’t count.

@notfunny3397 If showdown matches me against a team riddled with legendary crutches, I forfeit. I have battled pokemon for twenty years, I'm not in it for stale meta chasing. I play for the creative battles. Once my battling got good enough, I got tired of seeing people bring the same papersheet. I look for good battles
@notfunny33973 күн бұрын
@hibbs1712 I don't even know what to tell you, showdown has tiers for a reason. Yeah it's not fully balanced and there's still meta's within each tier. But for example, one of my favourite Pokémon and showdowns mascot, meloetta, is in UU in gen 5, and it's still worse than a lot of normal Pokémon in UU, let alone the OU pkmn like garchomp and volcarana and etc. Most legendaries have 600 BST, which basically puts it on par with pseudo legendaries and only a few base points away from starter pkmn. Not all legendaries are broken strong. Personally I love using legendaries because they have personality, and are one of a kind, instead of just being another bird Pokémon or whatver.
@hibbs17123 күн бұрын
@notfunny3397 you are mixed up. I'm not asking you to try and change my mind, friend. I was telling you what to expect when you get into battling for sport instead of for the win. Like I said, these are *MY* battles, I do still have plenty of them. I'm just not interested in your team, sorry

I dont know exactly, but i always imagined it as two very simple names that could easily be shortened to the first two letters of the alphabet (at least for english speakers, i imagine other languages would have other names) So like, for example, if youre a student and you have to do a problem and calculate things using values alex and bob have, you can just shorten them to a and b and do your calculations from there (a + b = 10 or something)

Great idea, Adef! Unfortunately, with the "eventual" rise of quantum computing, all of our current methods of encryption are going to be rendered mute, WAY before we get to "generation 400" (if humans &/or the Pokemon company live that long). I mean, in reality they kind of already are, quantum computing is only being held back by current technical limitations. But there are certain math problems that take our digital computers "heatdeaths of universes" amounts of time to complete while quantum computers can solve in them seconds, including cracking the prime factorization we use in current encryption. Don't worry though, I believe we may have already found at least 1 possible method of encryption that is resistant to both digital & quantum computing, which I unfortunately forgot the name for (sorry), so you can try applying your Pokemon obfuscation technique over on that method instead! Probably...
