Aw, that's unfortunate! Canadian prices aren't great either. I paid $80 for the Finetec palette, unfortunately.

That includes I think $20 in shipping and taxes are 15% in Canada so ... Yeah. Stupidly pricy. But I needed the sparkles! I have a problem.

I just checked on an online art shop I discovered a while ago. A local one. They are about R620 (which is about 65 canadian dollars) and I can get free shipping. Sadly, that's like a third of my pay... so I'll have to wait. I only started working recently.

Oh....oh my. This video is filled with far too much magic. I have a bunch of these, and my friend even specifically gave me some finetec ones to review but haven’t gotten around to it. =;_;= it’s been like a year. Hahaha. Oops. I’m a big fan of doc martin’s in-they’re who i usually use for inks....gonna have to pick up some of that Gold!

Soooo much magic! I have a hoarding problem. With sparkles. And paint in general, not gonna lie. Oooh! I haven't tried their other inks. I also am intrigued by liquid watercolours, and I think Dr Ph Martin's carries those too.

Art of Ley Saulnier you know how crazy I am about comparison testing, and when I was in college I went through like a dozen different inks to find the best one for my needs. Doc martin’s passed all the tests and I’ve been using it ever since! Actually, I used a brown doc’s in my raccoons animal artists collective video, but I used black in like.....all of the inktober pieces from last year. I recommend them super highly! I’m not really interested in liquid watercolors, because they don’t suit my portability needs but also.....because they’re dye-based, as far as I know pretty much none of the liquid water colors are even remotely lightfast. And I THINK they don’t deactivate/lift well, but haven’t gotten confirmation of that from any of the people I’ve asked. I’m interested in them from a scientific/testing/KZbin perspective, but not from a personal use perspective. Like, someone throws some at me I’ll do vid on them but I’m not going for it on my own. =>.

Oooh that is so good to know! I trust the Kat Method because I know how thorough you are. Oh dang, I didn't even think about the fact they'd be dye-based! They're just so pretty and vivid, and I"m such a sucker for bright colours.
