Now I’m definitely no expert, but couldn’t you have poured the blue and then filled in the tree after the blue cured with whatever mica powder resin mix you want then top coat to make it leveled and smooth? My mind says it would be easier to fill in rather go around lol I don’t know, you’re so much better than me! Love these though, your hard work truly paid off!

Hi Michelle I have to say how beautiful those coasters are. They are so elegant. Next time you topcoat like you did in this video, use your little “squeegee” to spread the resin as it will be so much quicker. The squeegee’s are called resin spatulas or paddles in Australia. Whatever they’re called they work brilliantly

Michelle, I've done a family birthday calendar where I had a lot of letters that were done like this? What I did was filled the mold with the background color then, after demolding it, I used mica in the crevices and wiped off around the top just swiping across it, then I did a domecoat of clear. Happy easter and God bless

Maybe one day, but for now, I'll keep supporting KZbin artists that create similarly to me! I love trees and have painted a fair number of tree canvases and love all of them so much. Beautiful pieces! I may have to think about getting these molds. I like the size of them. The ones I've purchased from Amazon are a little bit small for my liking. #newsub!

It's pronounced Di-crow-ick. When you heat the Angelina film, it's actually then called Dichroic film because it mimics dichroic glass. Especially if you fuse different colors together. I always pour the entire coaster, cure it, demold it, then fill in the indentions on the coaster. Sometimes I use resin, UV resin, or acrylic paint. Then I top coat. Paint is the easiest. You basically just pour paint on the coaster, spread it so that it goes into the designs. Then you just wipe the excess off the coaster.
@glitznglitterbymichelle18 ай бұрын
I thought of pouring like that but all those tiny spots stopped me 🫤

Sorry if someone already suggested this, i would have poured a clear layer (half full mould) of epoxy then once cured fill in the bits with UV resin and as its clear you can cure from both sides. Then i would back it in blue with the last later of epoxy (doming it) as you will have broken the seal obvi xoxoxox

Michelle I wonder what the final look would be like using Elmers Glue to slightly thicken the consistency of resin you’re using to flood coat!

I think that holds a lot of bubbles when you add glue.
