hi Elaine, if you are from the UK you have a £42 fee to pay to the UK government for a security check from them as well as the $100 fee from the USA government

Trying to apply for Global Entry application, but it is not showing it as an option on my Trusted Traveler Program account. I have no criminal history. I even have the Sentri card. CBP has been giving me the ring around so no help from them.
@elainebear856 жыл бұрын
Hi Sergio.. sorry to hear you're having issues with applying.. that is a weird one if you cannot see the global entry portion.. I wonder if that is just a glitch in the system.. have you tried calling CBP directly?
@Seijir06 жыл бұрын
@@elainebear85 I have not. I will have to give them a call tomorrow. Hopefully it's just a glitch in the system, since GOES is being replaced by Trusted Traveler Program.
@Seijir06 жыл бұрын
@@elainebear85 Just got off the phone with CBP. Turns out that you are only able to apply to one program at a time. If a person wants global entry they must give up their current program and replace it with a new. And yes you must pay the processing fee allover again. A person is not allowed to have 2 programs at a time. I wish they would add this information on their website. If someone wants to save money apply for global entry. People with global entry can use the sentri lanes.
@wwhermit5 жыл бұрын
Just FYI, if you already have the SENTRI card, you already have Global Entry as part of the SENTRI program. SENTRI members can use the Global Entry kiosks at the airport.

how do you use the TSA pre-check for domestic flights. Do you have to take your passport and global entry card also? Or just entering your frequent flyer number while making your airline reservation is enough?
@elainebear856 жыл бұрын
Hi.. for domestic flights, I just add the global entry # when booking airline tickets. :)
@MHG7906 жыл бұрын
The so called "PASSID" is also your "Known Traveller Number" (KTN). You can enter this number to your airline booking and TSA Pre will most likely show up on the boarding pass. It may not show up as TSA randomly still wants to screen you in more detail.

Is it okay to book a flight before registering to global entry? And do the kids have to pay for registration as well? Coz i know with tsa if you have 12 and younger kids they are included with your tsa card.
@ramblinman71535 жыл бұрын
You can add your know traveler number after you have booked a ticket up to 72 hours before. Children 12 and younger can go through with you.

If anyone is traveling to Canada, you should do NEXUS a Far better TTP, Cheaper and easier to get.

Nexus is cheaper but not easier. All interview locations are near the border which makes it impossible to lots of people. Also, it takes forever (12-14 months) to get Nexus application approved conditionally.

I will be traveling with a 6 year old, 8 year old and 3 month old. Do I pay the $100 just for me and my kids will be covered? Or do I need to apply for each of them too?
@elainebear856 жыл бұрын
Hi Melissa, Its $100 per person, so with 3 kids, it would be $400 total. I did apply for global entry for my daughter who was 2yo at the time of application. I just wanted to play it safe to avoid any surprises at the airport. You have to scan your passport at the kiosk at the airport so if the kids dont have global entry, not sure if they will let them go through the short line just cause mom has global entry... hope that helps :)

lan banma per person. However if you have American Express or even the venture card they credit you a global entry fee for one person ,$100. So it’s a savings. Just check with your credit card company. Hope this helps.
