Great stuff, Your channel has become one of my favourite retro repairs this year. Really looking forward to upcoming videos. Regarding displaying the consoles, Buy yourself a cheap bookcase/cabinet with about 4 or 5 shelves and stack everything in there. All the cables can then be routed and tide to the back. That's the way i do it anyway :) Happy new year mate.

James 76 Thanks! I'm looking at shelving now but kind of want to keep my current cabinet as it holds so much. I think the solution is to keep that area tidy and do all testing elsewhere.

Charlie Cat Hey Anthony, call me Darren.Global Garage is a name I'm stuck with as originally this brand name did man cave stuff but it quickly narrowed down to just retro gaming. I'll have a lot more videos coming soon. Much more technical as well and also some topics that no one else has tried.

Have a great 2017 =D Stackable storage boxes can help with the excess stuff (spare controllers, systems you don't use often etc). Like an Aladdins Cave in there!!!

woah! thats quite a lot of controllers you got there. Hope they are just for cleaning, fixing them all would be a pain. I would love to see some repair videos with faults beyond the usual dead laser or corroded AC jack, then theres everyone's favourite "junk" that just works. Even better, rundown videos on what the common issues are for each console you have worked on so you dont have to retread old ground. I have had to reorganised my setup too many times in the last 24 months and this is what i can suggest. I would recommend looking at shoe racks, since its your test area your gonna want to be able to swap out AV cables, power supply's and consoles, using a rack lets you get access to everything and reducing the footprint. also they capture less dust. 3M wall hooks come in handy for hanging scart switches and power boards off where you can have a easy reach without them being in the way or hidden (not having to dive behind cabinets) again ease of access is key. This also helps keeping cables tidy. Dont get too pedantic with cable neatness, just keep your power board away from your scart switch, that should be enough to keep it from becoming a nest, beyond that only madness lies.

+dylbob9000 Thanks for the suggestions! Some good points there re game / test area setup. I'll have a look around and then make a video on the result. I'm tempted to keep that area I showed just for gaming and all testing done over on my main PC area. Repairs... yep I agree, I will start doing more in depth repair videos early next year as they are more interesting. Have a good new years!
