As a confused, terribly-damaged child of 11, just after my dear father lost his temper when he came home from a trying, tiring day at his employment only to have my mom tell him I had failed again to hold up my end of family chores, I promised my self that my family would be loving, and as father I would be fair, and then loved by my children. My poor children had a father worse than my father. They left me 24 years ago. I will likely never see them, or my grandchildren, ever. All I want to understand is "Why."

Claude Armstrong i’m so sorry for the outcome you’ve had. Work on your emotions and learning for yourself. If you’re a spiritual person pray. God bless. I’ve read Bruce Lipton, Wayne Dyer, Mastin Kipp, Bruce Perry, John Bowlby, Debbie Ford. There’s many more but follow your instinct or intuition. That’s your next step

The critical parent doesn't scold another adult about mistakes simply because that person IS an Adult and the parent Respects Adults, but Not Children.
