Small tip: If you add the end product to the tower first, you can hover over the icon for the tooltip to see needed resources. That way you don't have to leave the tower UI and bounce between interfaces.

I tried to do something like this, and just completed it yesterday. But yours is so much less cluttered than what I did. It looks like you have got a lot of leverage out of "let's look at the whole list of buildings to export and work out a plan for all of them" rather than "Ok, what's next?" like I did. Of course, I tend to do first playthroughs like that, maybe even second or third ones. Anyway, well done. I especially like how you dealt with the "but they take five items!!" buildings.

Another idea for that polar setup; put in 2 rings of the charging stations, and of course the discharge stations. Yes, you have the suns, but if your system ever burps and the power goes down, they cannot self-start. So put in your accumulator setup, and have the battery-backup to assure you never go dark :) As you have said that polar space is not good for most setups, but for this, it will work great.

*whispers* Though, if missing the connection between tower 16 and tower 1 bugs you, you can always finish the ring by connecting tower one to tower sixteen in the opposite direction. The belt will move so rarely that you won't really know or see the direction, but you will see a perfectly filled ring of belted warpers.

Cool, I did the same thing the last couple of sessions on my planet. I also found something out, because my planets are a mess: if I need something, I just put down a tower, set the amount I need, set local/remote supply, wait on delivery, scrounge up the items and deconstruct the tower again. No need for power also, as long as the supplying tower is powered and setup for remote supply. Usually quicker than searching the whole planet for that one tower where I produce and store the item I was looking for... ;)

Nilaus: You don't have gears in your logistics network. Engine factory: **starves**
@d4rk4x3l33 жыл бұрын
anyone, correct me if I'm wrong. You should be able to place that sorter on the curve if you FIRST build a straight line of conveyors, then the sorters, then you connect the line of conveyor to the rest of the conveyors. That way you can output or input at full speed even on a curve of belts. EDIT. One more thing. For those 5 input recipes, they share TWO inputs (the processor and the supermagnetic blue thingy). If they are near one another, they can simply share, like good friends. The other with 5 is the white matrix, and that one could share with, say, a warp producer that requires green matrixes (that's also going to require ONLY green matrixes, and that means you can use that logistic station for three more input/outputs...). ALSO. Gears are used for quite a lot of stuff. Electric Motor, Wind Turbines, Assemblers MK.I, Miners, Thermal Power Plants, Railguns, Conveyor Belts MK.I and Splitters. Some of them aren't really required in the late game, but having gears at the ready whenever isn't that bad. I'm not suggesting having them at every planet... but why not?

My issue is that it’s just not scalable. You can’t easily upscale it to producing 5 or 10 times as much due to the way you’ve setup your belts. Why waste the time, energy and resources to set up one assembler when for a slightly larger (but incrementally smaller) investment you can increase your output.

I would make a few changes. I think the reinforced thrusters can be made with the logistic vessels and put on a belt to the orbital collector. I am also somewhat tempted to combine the orbital collector and interstellar logistic station, taking the particle containers from the planetary logistic station point.
@Nilaus3 жыл бұрын
you do not have enough ILS slots to combine them like that and there really wouldn't be much point in saving a couple of ILS unless you have something else to use them for
@jeffreyblack6663 жыл бұрын
@@Nilaus I thought they would be enough slots, For the logistic vessels you have titanium alloy, processors, EM turbines and logistic vessels (The thrusters could even be output there if you want). The thrusters will then be shipped on a belt to the logistic station/orbital collector setup. That setup would have the logistic station, the orbital collector, charged accumulators, supermagnetic rings and titanium alloy. The main reason is to get the extra space for a water pump as well as a fusion generator as I didn't see that in the main hub either.
@Alazair3 жыл бұрын
@@jeffreyblack666 The water pump can be easily added to the main hub. Just pull the wind turbine and extend the line by two assemblers, or if you actually use the wind turbine, extend by three assemblers. Put motor production on either side of the water tank and feed the motors directly into it. That'll consume most of the gears on the line for a while, so I'd put it at the end of the gear line, right before the tesla tower so everything else that uses gears can be built first and the water pump motors only get the scraps till other things are done. The fusion generator, on the other hand, definitely could use a spot on the polar hub, but he already designates a space for it at the end, so that's not a concern.
@jeffreyblack6663 жыл бұрын
@@Alazair You would need to replace the wind turbine with the water pump or otherwise find a way to reduce the number of things being requested/provided, or put down an entire extra logistic station to provide it. That is because on the main hub each station has 5 things being requested/provided, so there is no room to simply add the water pump. The mini hub for assemblers, belts and sorters has a single free spot, but does not have the required items to produce the water pump, and thus would not fit there either. The way I see it now, is that there 1 too few spots to supply everything. So either it needs to be combined or something needs to go. Sure, it might not look as nice to combine them, but there is already a belt going around the edge and there are already a few spots which take supplies from other stations.

Hi Nilaus, in the Ep #28 about the build of the strange matter, you requiered a lot of Deuterium. I ve thinked you will do a next video about a build for Deuterium but not :( ^^ . Personally i ve do 2 belts of fractionator (2X200) around one planet (because 4 giant gas with 40 towers and 24 particule collider doesn't supply my deuterium) it s work well with fractionator ^^. Then, and you, how do you supply your Deuterium ? ^^
@Nilaus3 жыл бұрын
Several Gas Giants + some Particle Colliders
@MattSapp3 жыл бұрын
I had been planning a giant fractionator setup for my build, but as I got to doing the math..once you get up to 18-20 veins research, your average gas giant will do around 40-50 deut per second..so you only need 3-4 of them within a decent warp range, and a handful of particle colliders or a modest fractionator set to smooth out any delivery issues.

Although I’m not as far along as you. I’m just expanding as needed little at a time. Also I’m bouncing around. Breathedge Worker resources and an older game by zachtronics. Hey. @Alazair3 жыл бұрын
@@LTL_king Haha, just wait till you need to place sorters yet again for yet another smelting line, after you've already placed tens or hundreds of thousands of sorters manually, each one at a time, requiring at least two clicks each, assuming you don't misclick even once in those multitude of thousands of sorters. It becomes 'very' tedious, monotonous, repetitive, boring, and can cause quite a bit of strain on your mouse hand, which with that much repetition, could potentially even lead to injury. You may find that the prospect of a mod like that becomes a very welcome idea then... Besides, that tedious repetition certainly can't be what the developers had in mind for the play experience. They just haven't gotten around to improving it yet while in the process of adding more content to the game. That's what mods are there to fix in the meantime. It's a similar concept with the Advanced Build Destruct mod that allows you to place entire lines of copied buildings all at once, including the copied sorters if you have the Copy Inserters mod. Both of those mods together makes creating a smelting line as simple as drawing the belts, placing one smelter on each side, placing the sorters for them, then placing a copied line of them at whichever length you desire. It's certainly not nearly as good as Factorio blueprints, but it is a 'massive' improvement to the gameplay experience. No longer must you spend hours doing nothing but standing there placing sorters, then needing to take a break from the game due to the masses of sorter placement you've just finished. Instead, you can get on with actually playing the game and having fun designing a new production line. And no, I'm not exaggerating at all with the scale of the numbers, and am not being hyperbolic in my description. The need for many thousands of sorters is quite literal. The requirements for production scales exponentially as you progress through the game, so where you may need just a few dozen sorters at the beginning, that will be a few orders of magnitude larger after you've progressed. So while you may not see a need for mods like that while you're closer to the beginning of the game, that's only because your production needs haven't gotten to the point that you're spending all your time placing sorters rather than actually enjoying all the great things the game has to offer.
