Thanks for posting this. It is good to see it stuff again. I always found it weirdly compelling, and often wondered what the market for it was. This is sort of like a reunion of Ontario-based insomniacs from the middle 1980s. I was an undergrad back then, and would often have this program when I was studying late.

Thank you so much for uploading this. It would be nice if they still aired it instead of junk infomercials, but it's all about money today. Please bring more more more! Thanks again from a fellow Ontarian.

I distinctly remember watching this a number of times when the TV stations had signed off for the night. Thank you for the wonderful nostalgia!

@blizzardkb thinking back to the 80s the video equipment were not as small as they are today so just to imagine the weight and bulk one had to carry around just makes it all that much more special. During the broadcasting I would be waking up for hockey so needless to say I didn't get to watch the whole show but man, I do love every precious moment that I did; and watching it now that I'm an adult just makes a joyful tear to my eye. Great times -- thank you for the trip down memory lane.

Thank you so much for posting this!! I really appreciate it! Now I can get my daily fix of Night Ride and Night Moves. All that is missing is Night Walk and the collection will be complete!! Why global doesn't air this anymore is a mystery to me. This show was so good! Well at least we can view it on here thanks to Retronatrio!! Thanks Again!!

Holy crap, the convention centre in the 80's, talk about memories.

Used to watch this when I was young while smoking some of the best hashish ever. The Steadicam work was mind blowing at the time. To be able to get such steady video getting on , travelling and exiting a moving escalator was just amazing . I was taking Television Production at Seneca College at the time.

Gotta love those old streaky tube cameras! Even with a steadycam, those old BetacamSP's must have been rather cumbersome.

+Wanda Slice Not half bad into the mid-90's too. A horrible consumerist, soulless, nightmare after that, though.

How did they get the quality like this? Like just blurry enough so you can't identify anybody making it feel like you're in a dream

@Eyes11 I realise that this is a reply to an ooooooold comment, but still... Isn't it weird how little things like that stick with you. I, being British, never saw this - or anything like it for that matter! I really like it though. It's weirdly soothing. Definitely has a weird, dreamlike atmosphere to it. Was this a regular thing? I notice a few more like "night drive"? People on other vids keep going on about prisoners quite a lot too, not quite sure what to make of it haha.
