Can you imagine your first night on the job as a ride attendant, you arrive there and get amazed by all the bright lights and the big crowds and then you ask the supervisor where I am I working, and then takes you to the back of the place where its all dead, and after 4 hours the supervisor asks how you doing? and you say no one is here, no one has asked to ride on this. lol

Global Village has been my favorite place to visit! The most important thing is the rides!

That's why all the rides at these places are quiet, everything is so expensive. Makes sense lol still dont know how they survive for years and make money to keep it open.

The Global Burj drop tower is the best ride at this park without a doubt, and I think it’s probably the best drop tower I’ve ever written. Keep in mind that I only rode a couple so I didn’t get to experience drop towers such as Zuman Jaro or Lex Luthor. However out of the ones I have experienced I prefer Global Burj the most. The theme is so good and I love the drop sequence. Also I am so glad that they let you film on ride POV‘s.

Visited in 2019. Absolutely loved it. Fly France however was such a disappointment. It spinned so slowly that I could not manage a single loop, and that for like €7-ish. Although I like that they don't seem to have increased the prices in the last 5 years, unlinke fairs in Europe. Definitely want to go back one day. It's so beautiful!

If anyone’s interested in the pricing: Drop tower 42 points £8.40 Ghost train 25 points £5 Ferris Wheel 60 points £12 (£6 x 2) Vekoma 35 points £7.00 Not too bad in my opinion but is more on the expensive side especially with the short cycles.

Similar what I was thinking watching this vlog. The drop tower he said wasn’t worth it is equivalent to £8.40, but in winter wonderland last month the tower he deemed “worth it” was £9? Make it make sense

The locals in the UAE love a cheap night out or something free that’s why it’s always busy here compared to the theme parks !! Locals are not willing to pay £60 to get into a theme park or pay £30 for a few rides in an indoor amusement park ! When I went to Global Village in December 2019 you literally couldn’t move for the amount of people yet just a few hours before we was at IMG Worlds of Adventure (which is literally a 10min drive away) was completely empty

Isn’t the pricing similar to winter wonderland/travelling carnivals in the uk. Just taking one example 32 points for a ride would roughly be about £6 if you assume 1 point = 1 dirham and some rides at winter wonderland are around £9/10

Shawn and Charlotte, It seems that the whole purpose of that park is relieve you of your money, you can't even haggle over the prices like traditional Arabian street Bazaars!. I really hate getting ripped off whether a park or a restaurant or whatever! I'm sorry, but this is the major "Theme"in their parks. Cheers, Rik Spector

I'm glad you try to always go on the dark rides, even at the risk of them not being that good. Always appreciate seeing them. However, I actually think you were a bit harsh on that ghost train - it didn't look too bad from my point of view. Quite a few creepy animatronics and scenes. I think you've definitely been on worse! 😆👻

I think that light up text on the Ferris wheel is from another wheel. New tech that creates a spinning screen. It’s a projection on the arms of a spinning device. A few toys were made like that with two arms that project images and animations.

Always buy your currency from your bank at home before you travel Shawn, you pay current exchange with no commission, it will save you a lot over paying in pounds or even exchanging in country.
