I've probably ridden all the roads. Just road Innsbruck today (the reverse route up the mountain twice) and that climb is crazy hard. But I agree with Hank, New York is much hillier than you would think (it's all the fake roads up on the sky bridge though). I don't think I can do this challenge, but I might try doing a whole map one at a time, just not on the same day.

Hank is the most game cyclist I have ever witnessed. Good on him. I also noticed Hank's Dad looks slimmer and more fit than I remember. A Royal Hussar makes a good Director Sportif, yes? Also I think Zwift should develop worlds with Restaurant/ Vinyard stops for all of us over 50.

I have to say, this really speaks to how good Zwift actually is. I recently got my whole Zwift setup complete with a smart trainer, and I'm able to just go. The software is able to capture a lot of the same feelings I get while riding outside. If the software wasn't good, a challenge like this would be completely undoable. Good job Hank

Superb effort there Hank, well done! I did World in a Day with Mark Beaumont last weekend and did 400km in 12 hours on Watopia. I winced when you told us what you had planned the day after! 12 hours on Zwift is tough enough and what you did is taking to the next level and beyond. Massive respect mate 🚴💪

Agree, he did definitely look in pain in some of the closeups but he seems to have stayed positive and optimistic which is half the battle. I'd like to have heard more about how he was feeling inside, about his motivation levels throughout the day and what he was thinking about etc. Endurance challenges of this magnitude are possible only with the correct mindset.

That's mental! I have around 150km as my longest route on zwift and that was rough. Mostly that your so stationary on the bike while pedaling indoors and you're just looking at a screen.. top job 💪🏻👍🏻

@@helenab9973 The trainer adjust the resistance depending on the gradient. So going uphill it becomes harder to pedal etc.

@@helenab9973 On your turbo, if you want hills to feel like hills unfortunately you need a Kickr Climb or a Kickr Bike. Otherwise, it's just like riding into a stronger wind.
