The more I think about these videos, the more respect I have for Ollie. As others point out, he alone among the presenters is not a former pro and is in over his head. He knows this and stood up anyway. Even taking all the grief he got on the 4v1 video, he stood up again. While I've given him grief over the years, he does have my respect for participating knowing he was in for another ration of grief. Congrats Ollie!

Bringing in a Pro-rider and non-GCN employee was the equivalent of a Sunday football league team fielding a non-registered player, ie a ringer, and therefore against the rules and unethical. I would guess that the Pro would beat Si on his own riding a cheap bike! Additionally, surely 5 riders didn't beat Si; it was 4 or the time should have been when the last member of the team, ie Ollie, finished? Therefore, should be a team of GCN employeses and all riders to finish the course.

Can we just all acknowledge that Pro riders are a different breed. All 3 presenters were gasping for breath dying.. whilst the pro looks like he's barely turned the pedals over And I have ZERO doubt he was only going 80-90% to not drop them all!

The difference is manyfold. He is younger, better trained, better dieted, and probably better genetics too. Pretty big handicap to overcome unless you are a serious amateur who basically lives for it like the pros do.
