Looking up the times and power numbers on strava from other people, I can definetely say Ollie could have managed it with easier gears. Ideally you could fit a 34 inner chainring to Alex's super gravel GRX 1x setup So, how many likes would you need for us to see the re-match?

I'm so impressed by how quick he retrieves his strength and breath after the main effort!
@better.better2 жыл бұрын
to be fair we don't see how long he takes to recover you always have that bit after you crest the hard bit of the climb where you have to keep going but you're recovering from the effort before you can pick up the pace again during the easier portion. you probably see it in the ride data if it's public. I don't use Strava so I'm not sure how much is publicly visible.

Wow. Andrew made it look easy....almost. If it was killing him, he didn't show. Chapeau to Feather! 👍👍💪😄

Feather is an absolute hill climb beast! I don't even want to imagine the power he outputs on a flat. Great inspiration to get better and better though.

Massive, respect 👍 it would be fun to Watch a 59 kg. Jonas Vingegaard give it a go. His massive heart capacity is made for this.
@DirtyPoul2 жыл бұрын
Would be amazing if he did that. Imagine him putting out 6.5 W/kg while flying up this climb. I can't even imagine what this would look like with a Giro peloton.

@@DirtyPoul It would be utter carnage 😂

The steepest I know is near Lenggries in Germany. It is the street leading up to the Karwendel and that road (not public, but you can bike it) is called Bergbahnstrasse, You will have to fight to keep the frontwheel on the ground.

not quite sure why Olli is downgrading the fact, that this bike has a way better gear ratio. Would make a hell of a difference for me. I want to see Olli doing it again on the same exact gravel bike :D

Well you were there, the bike was there, so why did we only see Andrew doing the climb?

exactly what I was thinking, Ollie said it was because of easier gearing, so opportunity missed...... or was he scared?
@audiolatroushearetic18222 жыл бұрын
Ollie is a generous guy. He just didn't want to ruin Andrew's day and KOM by beating him, obviously :>.

@@gcn I would've been traumatised for sure if I were him. I have fond memories of certain tours I made but I know exactly which parts of them I wouldn't ever do again.

*Andrew Feather has my respect and admiration* The feeling one gets after a solid climb, not stopping or dismounting once is a feeling of true glory !

So impressed how he kept the front wheel on the road at the steep bits. I'm assuming the low gears made that possible.
