#torqueback I brought my first road bike from Hargroves. However they sized me up wrong massively. Any opinions on how to get a comfortable ride? I didn't know where to post the comment. So now you got 2! (Sorry)

#torqueback. Lately when I've been riding my right foot will start to fall asleep every twenty minutes or so, and I have to give it a shake to get the blood flowing, which you would think pedalling would take care of on it's own. any idea what might be causing this annoyance? Been riding for years and this has just started happening recently

that's happening with me too at the moment.. was going to look at my cleat position..?

As Mark said you following his journey on GCN was great and I think this program in general is the best thing to happen to cycling in a long time. I have been trying to follow cycling in the media for 32 years from a few dodgy video tapes when Steven Roach won the TDF up until now it's like chalk and cheese. Thanks GCN .

Absolutely fascinating - such an illuminating, interesting and instructive interview! The fact that Mark is so down to earth, perceptive, intelligent and articulate adds so much to his story that is useful for anybody who rides, endurance or otherwise. I think got more from this than from any other GCN video, and there have been some excellent ones before this! Well done GCN, and thank you Mark.

Have watched this vid 3 times now. As someone whom has applied to enter next years IPWR Mark's incredible feat of endurance is awe inspiring. I would love to hear his critique on certain hardware - what survives and what doesn't during his long rides, chains? cranks? frames? surely some stuff fails or has in the past.

Thanks GCN the very best interview I have ever seen with a pro cyclist nice and long lots of questions lots of facts and great stories. Could you do more interviews with pro cyclists like this. Maybe the winner of the TDF or WORLDS maybe a look back when a pro retires. And to Mark great job and best of luck in all u do.

Amazing interview, amazing trip, important for more than cycling, says a lot about tenacity. People like to use the word "dedicated" for some reason, but I prefer "tenacity" because "dedication" implies "desire" and "choice" which, while they might play into it at the start, once you're into it there's not really any going back.

Fabulous and inspirational Mark. Si, perhaps your 386km ride could inspire you to participate in next year’s Best British All Round TT competition (BBAR). The BBAR requires you to average 22mph over 50 miles, 100 miles and 12 hour TTs to qualify. I reckon you’d have a serious chance of winning it. Mark, many congratulations on an epic and an historic achievement.

Magnificent interview. Listening to the insight from a men that did a truly incredible feat is priceless. Kudos to GCN that covered his adventure on a weekly basis with his short vlogs. I waited for that every week and that was the highlight of everything GCN has done up to this point. Please more coverages like that. You guys should cover the TansAm, IndiPac, and transcontinental with more depth, including videos from competitors on a regular basis. This would be more interesting to follow than the Hammer series or any other Grand Tour. You would get explosive audience. World Tours is getting to controlled and sanitized and those events are true human adventure and grit. This is cycling at its essence. Also thanks for Si's genuine man crush on Mark because that's what makes good entertainment and maintain base fan, genuineness.

A lot of the stuff he said reminded me of long distance hiking. The first few days of a hike are the toughest. The one thing that most hikers who are out for months at a time miss the most is family or depending on the trail just human companionship period (see Andrew Skurka's hike around Alaska where at one point he didn't see another human for over 3 weeks). And, I think every hiker experiences hiker hobble. Your legs and feet in particular hurt so much in the morning, but once you've been going for 30 minutes to an hour those pains go away and you just drop into a rhythm. I guess it just shows the commonality of endurance athletics in general.

#TorqueBack Since leaving uni just over a year ago I've tried a few local clubs, and as fun as these are, I miss riding with people closer to my age group. I'm surprised by the lack of younger people (age 20-40) in clubs, considering the popularity of cycling societies at universities. Whats your thoughts on this? And any advice on finding clubs that cater more for this age range?
