As a Sarawakian, I'm disagree. That will be capital city that has clean environment. Try to visit Bau (still clean and has good food) and go deeper village, there you will se scraps of plastics and mask. Every time I jog around my neighborhood, I have to take rubbish near the road then throw into rubbish bin. Most of our neighborhood still hasn't get the education on how important to secure cleanness and hygiene. I hope this new government will take notice.
@GlobalGibbon3 жыл бұрын
@@ryanoneiljohnson8743 I agree that there is too much plastic lying around everywhere. Everyone needs to learn to put their rubbish in designated areas, like dustbins or bring it home and dispose of it there. There is still much to improve here in Sarawak on this matter.
@Izen43 жыл бұрын
@@ryanoneiljohnson8743 Well you do found rubbish in every parking lot especially discarded face masks. I live in Bau for all my life & most people here had high degree education. Arrogant and laziness on caring for cleanliness are slowly consumed Sarawakian.

Looks like Sarawak will be showing up on a lot of people's radar now that Malaysia has changed their MM2H visa to nearly impossible to meet requirements for most foreigners while Sarawak has kept their MM2H visa requirements the same and quite doable. My wife and I had been considering the Malaysia MM2H visa for 3 or 4 years now but that all came to an end several weeks ago. Now we are looking at Sarawak quite seriously. We have enjoyed watching your videos and learning about life in Sarawak.

Hi Nick, thank you for promoting my home state Sarawak. Glad that you're loving your life there. I love your distinctive way of pronouncing "Sarhawak"😊 and kudos for your initiative to learn Iban dialect(my mother tongue). I've been residing in KL for a few decades now and has the opportunity to live and travel to some countries in Europe, Australia, NZ, Japan, HK and UAE among others but Sarawak remains very close to my heart, especially my humble little hometown Limbang on the other end of the state. To your viewers that has absolutely no (or very little) knowledge on Sarawak, Sarawak is almost as multi-racial as the UN. Modern yet authentic. The people are educated yet remain extremely humble. The culture is diverse yet respectful of each other, whereby religion is a connecting bridge instead of a dividing wall. Organic food sources is most abundant. Stalls and restaurants serve the most exclusive gastronomic delights. Simple yet exquisite local cuisines is sure to satisfy one's taste buds. A food connoisseur(and chef) the late Anthony Bourdain once regarded Sarawak Laksa as "Breakfast of the Gods". The rainforest is as close as one can get to the Amazon(shame on the logging industry tho'). Looking forward to more posting on life in Sarawak. You're a great ambassador. Keep up the amazing work! 👍👍

@@GlobalGibbon It was a pleasure watching your videos. Just for curiousity sake, which part of the Netherlands are you from? I had the pleasure to stay in Amsterdam and discover some parts of the Netherlands for a period of 6 mths. I was most intriqued to know that there's a province called Limburg which sounds pretty similar to Limbang. Oftentimes i jokingly told my Dutch friends that i was from Limburg. The Bruis Festival in the city of Maastricht was a sight to behold. Beers flow of epic proportions, very much like our Gawai🤣. If i'm not mistaken, it is held during the first weekend of September(very soon). The King's Day(previously known as Queen's Day)is renowned for being one of the biggest and most colourful festivities. I hope to be able to visit the Netherlands again someday. Cheers!🍻

In 1980, stayed here one month, in that time i only saw one white man, and that was myself, my reflection in a shop window. Kuching was very small then, about the same size as Sibu. the only way to the airport was Jalan Penrisen. Tabun was all pineapple fields, from 4 mile to airport was also pine apple fields. This is a great report. Sarawak is on my radar for a retirement destination. The lack of a required bank deposit is a point in Sarawak's favour.

I have only been to Sabah and Labuan island. I still want to visit Brunei someday. So definitely Sarawak will be on my list of places traveled. Sarawak must really be glorious. Your video deserves a big Like, because you are 1 handsome vlogger, and that is rare. You also have a nice voice. You sound European. You’d look better if you dont wear the cap backward or get a new cap. I cant tell where you are from. But without the cap, you look French. Too handsome to be Dutch. I’m done guessing.

Haha! Thanks for the comment. The reason why I always wear a cap is so I don't have to do my hair! Thanks for watching!

Global Gibbon The cap, after a second video, it’s good. Apparently, you are from the Netherlands. No wonder, I thought you sounded Canadian with a hint of something. You make really nice videos. Mainly because you look nice and no doubt Sarawak is a paradise.
