Love the movie. But the guy asking Chris if he liked playing the "damsel in distress" needs to watch the movie again. Chris/Steve was in no way in that role.
@outrageouscreation68657 жыл бұрын
Oddly Even i think he meant it more as a joke. Cause we don't usually see women saving men in the movies, so he is basically the closest to a damsel in distress as we can get in this movie. He didn't mean it seriously.
@Ayaforshort7 жыл бұрын
Oddly Even I think it is awesome how they treated him as a secondary character! Gal Gadot shined. They really made Steve a character with his own personal sense of duty and he still made plans, he wasn't just a side kick. They were partners! WW had the brawn and beauty, and Steve had the knowledge of the human world! Now let's see if they can do this in reverse in some other movies. Letting the man shine as a star, but still be equal partners with a woman!
@gabbar51ngh7 жыл бұрын

@MrCaseySasaki7 жыл бұрын
+Ayenate' Lawson "Now let's see if they can do this in reverse in some other movies. Letting the man shine as a star, but still be equal partners with a woman!" They already did it. It was called Captain America: Winter Soldier. Steve Rogers was a lot like WW. He was the powerful, honest, and sincere 'fish out of water type' that was still adjusting to a world wholly different from the one he came out of... Black Widow on the other hand, was like Steve Trevor in that she was the normal but exceptional human that kicked ass right alongside the super-powered hero. If there was ever a gender-flipped scenario of Steve Trevor and WW as a main duo, Black Widow and Captain America fit it in Winter Soldier. Minus the romance :P
@xad8367 жыл бұрын

Everybody loves Wonder Woman, because it's feminism, equality, individual liberty (or whatever you want to call it) done right. Wonder Woman is a strong woman who doesn't try to be like a man, but who instead amplifies all the various virtues we like to see in women. By contrast, everybody hated that new ghostbusters reboot because it was feminism done wrong. Look at Wonder Woman and learn!
@notquitemytempo13537 жыл бұрын
Man, you gotta respect Patty Jenkins. Very often in these movies they hire insignificant directors just to get the job done. Directors with lack of vision, voice and artistry. But after watching the movie and seeing her talk about it, I'm very impressed with how smart she is and how well she knows her craft. Can't wait to see what see does next, other than WW sequels of course, which is a given that she should direct them.

I am seeing comments about Patty Jenkins pretending to be for equality by just putting a woman at the center of you know, A WONDER WOMAN movie! And saying the movie is just all white people. First of all, There are literally 4 + different races in the main cast alone, Sammi, there's a native American, the sniper and Gal Gadot by the way is Israeli lol There are darker skinned Amazons in the beginning, The only white guys in the main cast are Steve Trevor and Aries and the Germans and British background cast. My point, turn off your tvs and just word vommit recycling crap.Look everyone is an asshole, every race (yes even white people) have suffered throughout history. Find good people, eat good food with them, and stop letting so much hate build up. Grow up people. Even though we all suck, I love you all.

@davidsani48466 жыл бұрын
"woman and black people"The skin contributes. Everything is about how you look. It does matter if you are Black, White, Green, Brown, Woman. The reality of humans has changed. We all should look as super heroes out for being accepted, Long, Bigger muscles, Beautiful face and also on. But we have forgotten how a man should be in reality. Check out the heart instead of the look. There are people who go by appearance as I mentioned above and get backstroke or get used to all of these "nice" people. but the stupidest thing to keep going for such looks without knowing what is going on in its heart. Therefore, we have so many "people" about 70% thus having depression, and having suicidal thoughts. Such problems are not visible on the outside but the inside they have hell. It is visible in society about the number of singles which unfortunately they will be singles in the future .....

I really enjoyed the interviews except when the interviewer brought up the race card. I mean, everyone have some hard times everyday in every era in every part of the world. Don't make it as if 1 race is more special than the others. And saying that Steve Trevor is a damsel in distress. Really? Don't make as if the movie is about female domination or feminazi nonsense because it's not about that.
@haileyb.49367 жыл бұрын
AggressiveNegotiator you sound like a racist AND a sexist. Those are classic butt hurt responses. Great job
@P.Whitestrake7 жыл бұрын
Hailey B. And you sound like an ignorant. The film isn't even about race. Why the interviewer had to bring it up & act as if his race is the most unfortunate race? Guess what, lady. All races got bad treatment from another races from time to time. Saying no race is special makes me a racist? And how am I a sexist? I only said exactly how the film is about female empowerment without making males look stupid & weak. Steve Trevor can handle himself without Diana, so does Diana can handle herself without Steve. No-one dominating the other. Saying that makes me a sexist? Are you mental, ma'am?
@P.Whitestrake7 жыл бұрын
Terence Calma You missed my point. I said that it's unecessary to bring "the race card" in this because this movie isn't even about racial issue. This is Wonder Woman movie, not Nelson Mandela movie. Why is everything must be about race? Please read my comment above yours. I don't mind strong women characters, but saying Steve is a "damsel in distress" is silly. Steve isn't damsel in distress which is someone who need the constant help from the hero.
@HappyBehrTV7 жыл бұрын

+AggressiveNegotiator agree, Steve is not damsel in distress. Steve knows how to fight with guns and by plane, so cool riding motorcycle. even he protected Diana from danger in some scenes when she's careless. he knows when he has to agree with Diana's plan and smart to make plans. he's brave and kind to sacrifice himself to save people and influence her way of thinking about humans. not many human can do it. thats a true hero. to me he almost stole the show.

You people are privileged people, don't act like you know what REAL struggle where your life is in ACTUAL DANGER is like.
