Tata does it again: Five stars for the new Nexon

he Tata Nexon has achieved the second highest Global NCAP score for adult and child occupant safety in our #SaferCarsForIndia testing to date. Tata also holds the top spot for their Safari/Harrier rating. The Nexon voluntarily test is amongst the final results in the campaign as Bharat NCAP is activated.
The Nexon was the first model to achieve a five star #SaferCarsForIndia rating in 2018. In 2023 the new Nexon has been updated with additional safety equipment, including six airbags and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard. The new rating is valid for models produced as from August 8th 2023.

The damage assessment doesn't measure the leg fly, it is measured through sensors which attached to dummies and dummies are just for reference.

While base model of other car have been used . Kwid , kia seltos, all suzuki cars , magnite , tribes, etc . Something is not right and we know that

Your second line is a misconception. Top model of nexon now costs 19 lakhs on road mumbai, I can get Tiagun/kushaq 1.5 mid range model or Kushaq 1.0 top model for 18 lakhs. I'm sure Kushaq is more premium, refined and handles better with similar power as Nexon and a higher safety score(I own the limited edition monte carlo 1.5 tsi version) Volkswagen and skoda has better after sales sevice than Tata. So what arr you guys paying 19 lakhs for again???

Test Honda City and Honda Elevate.. Biggest Question is why you tested City 4th Gen despite latest 5th Gen was already available in the market? 5th Gen will score better than 4th Gen for sure.. Honda was claiming ASEAN NCAP 5 star rating for indian 5th Gen variant by saying Indian manufactured 5th Gen is 5th star ASEAN NCAP equivalent..and shown internal crash test videos etc so neither willing to send it for voluntary crash test so please test 5th Gen Honda City and Elevate

​@@RohitTripathy07 Exactly..There are mostly 3 possible reasons.. 1) Either Honda doesn't believe in spending more than 4-5 crore to get their cars tested because they already know it will score 5 star as they boldly claimed that Indian variant is equivalent to ASEAN NCAP 5 star rated variant..We have never seen any brand claimed such things before.. 2) Honda doesn't believe that City/Elevate won't score 5 star rating that's why they aren't sponsoring the test which I don't think this will be the reason 3) They don't believe in GNCAP as it's not funded by any Govt.. First and last model was mobilio sent by honda Voluntarily scored 3 star rating (built on brio's platform) with stable body shell Integrity..But I think they should send in bharat Ncap because test charges are 1/4th compared to gncap and tests are conducted in India.. I think they don't care about the Indian market and don't take it seriously so we shouldn't care about honda as well.. My next car won't be a Honda Again..

Many Surprising points to note 1. Global ncap said that they won't be conducting any more crash tests after the Verna crash test cause the launch of bncap would make gncap redundant, but here we are. 2. 0:46 How did the car score 5 stars in child safety protection when the child dummy's leg broke and flew off? 3. Marginal Chest Protection is poor for the side crash test of Nexon, especially after tata told that they strengthened the side beams of the car and are providing 6 airbags on the Nexon.

All these tests are conducted at 64km/hr speed for frontal impact and 50km/hr for side impact. Only if you drive at that speed you are safe. Anything around 80 -100 no car is safe. Only few people drive at around 70km/hr speed

@@believers-km1xz Because tata sponsors the test and sends the car to gncap, tata sends the top model. While Renault and Maruti Suzuki doesn't sponsor the test and gncap has to buy the car with their own money, they buy the base model. It's gncap's fault. They should ONLY test base models.
