Following blatant revelations by Spavor (see similar report by the Globe and Mail), the world finally knows which country did arbitrarily detain a foreign national and which country did not. Meng Wanzhou, on the other hand, was released without being charged or fined, validating the fact she was indeed being held hostage on pure geopolitical reasons. As one can also come to some sense that there is a big difference between a democratic country and a communist country in terms of justice and impartiality of the legal and judicial systems.
@therealdeal216311 ай бұрын
A democratic country is about influence , if you have influence , you can do what you want legal or illegal , that's why lawyers are so important to democracies, a communist country is about equality , no person is above anybody else , all are equal in the eyes of the party and the law , even when you are a member of the party you are not above the party in influence , the west believes that Xi Jing ping is a dictator , he is not , he is subject to party discipline and rules , just as the lowest party member , if he abuses his position, he can still be removed by the NPC ( National People's Congress ) who voted him as president ...the problem with the western perception of the CPC is that through ignorance or obtuse reasoning they either don't understand the Chinese governance system or choose to misinform their populace of how the Chinese governance works ..

Well, the elder Trudeau liked Chairman Mao, a supreme dictator who killed Chinese by the millions. To which, many the Chinese community must have forgotten when hundreds turned out on Parliament Hill on CANADA DAY to honour MAO!!! Huge insult to this country, yet no one challenged it!!!

There was a press release and the US general said it was not a threat to the US or Canada. So basically, it was probably a weather balloon like China said.

I will bet the Chinese police stations thing and China’s harassment to the Michael Chong dude are all disinformation and fabricated stories under the direction of the giant neighbour in the south. So our government and the us lied,and China has been telling the truth for all these incidents.

Saint-Jacques is blinking frequently throughout his screen time, while denying knowing of Kovig's intelligence work, so...damage control is damaged. I would have expected a professional diplomat to be better at lying. And picking a blinky one reflects poor judgement at Damage Control Central.
