New Brunswick mother on 12-hour ER wait with sick newborn: "How’s there only 1 doctor?"

A New Brunswick mother is speaking out after she recently had to wait more than 12 hours to have her sick baby seen by a doctor at the Moncton Hospital.
On Friday, Emily Boros-Rausch went to the hospital with her eight-week-old baby, Laszlo. The infant had a fever, was vomiting, and had diarrhea.
“We were told many times by our family doctor, even when he was born at the hospital that if a newborn has the slightest fever, take them right to the emergency because it could be a sign of something bad,” she said. “So we rushed right there.”
They arrived around 8 p.m. There was an hour-and-a-half wait to be triaged, and it was another 12 hours before Boros-Rausch would see a doctor.

LOL. You wait hours in the USA and in many hospitals if you need to be admitted from the ED you wait down there for days because they don't have enough inpatient beds. Not sure why so many people try and act like this is an issue with "free Healthcare". You all clearly don't work in hospitals in the USA and see the reality there.

When my wife was pregnant the baby got stuck. His heart moniter kept going off for 16 hrs. There was no dr available finally when a dr was available they said we needed an emergency C-Section. We needed one hours before. The baby didnt move for 4 days now were worried there maybe cognitive problems as hes socially delayed

The provinces that still enforce V mandates for healthcare workers only require 2 shots total and this may include the original shots for a virus strain that no longer exists. Whether you believe in the V or not, how is this at all a scientifically-based policy?

Chopped the tips of my fingers off just south of Bakersfield Ca. in my trucking days and was in and out of the hospital in less than an hour.

I waited 15 hours to see the ER doctor in the summer of 2022 while experiencing chest pain. I will just take my Nitro tabs and pray next time!

You wait hours to be seen in the USA and God forbid you need an inpatient stay. They don't always have beds and you sit in a hallway in the ED till they do. People are fortunate if they are in and out during a trip to the ED
