I bought one just before Fathers Day and have ridden over 450 miles on it thus far. I'm very happy with it, but there is one thing I wish they had done. There is a USB outlet on the display. The instruction manual says you can plug in your cellphone to charge it, but that is not true. The voltage output is too low. The bike shop I bought it from called the factory and they seemed a bit confused on the issue as well. There are many people who use their cellphones for navigation (Uber Eats deliverers, for example) and that would have been an extremely useful function to have.

That is for updating the software that can’t be done by blue tooth

@@scottchaney4573 While on the topic of software updates if you have a throttle and you get an over the air firmware update you may find that your throttle doesn't work anymore. It happened to me recently. All you have to do is go into the phone app and dig into the menus until you find the throttle option and make sure it's set to ON. Easy fix.

I’m coming up on 700 miles on my ST. It’s been absolutely amazing! Three things: I don’t carry much cargo and don’t seem to need the throttle. The power curve is interesting and does great above 20mph but doesn’t seem to want to give me much assistance on steep hills at low speed. Lastly, at or around 28mph the motor Governor makes the bike somewhat ride in spurts (ie it gives assistance and cuts off, it gives assistance and cuts off). Not a deal breaker but just something to be aware of. I can avoid this by decreasing cadence to keep my cruising speed at 26 or 27mph.

You can turn the lights off by holding the top button on the display (Assist Increase button), hold again to turn on but they will always come on when you start the bike even if you turned off before shutdown.

Assist levels 4 and 5 can be jerky but add 150 pounds of cargo and it smooths out just fine.

Phenomenal bike, but 419lb haul, 20 mph throttle & max 28 mph are dealbreakers. Very nice bikes, if I can find one for a great deal, I might fold & buy.

Right on. They are listening. How tall are you? Make sure you test this out at one of their shops. The handlebars rise about 8 inches and you can twist it forward. The telescoping seatpost goes way up and it sweeps bak as you raise it reveal a lot of top tube room.

I've got a few Burley Trailers, any chance you could find out from your friend Adam (@3:08 dog trailer) if the standard Burley connector just bolts on to the dropout or if anything special was needed? Seems the dropout on the Globe "might" interfere with the standard connection but uncertain. Would really appreciate.

I wanted to get one when they first came out. I even asked them if it was UL approved. Corporate told me the battery was, but it isn't. Can't believe they went to all that effort and "cheaped out" on the most important thing. You ask the engineers why they didn't??? Even my insurance company won't let me get one with out the UL. Pretty much everything in my house is UL approved. Why not an E-bike. For almost 3k, you would think it would have one.
