Aah sorry, that is a feature of the Node Wrangler addon. You should be able to enable it via the addons menu. Then you can preview a node by Shift+Ctrl+click

When i go to shader and create chrome exactly as you did, my circle didn't become shiny and silver like yours. It stayed grey even though I did it exactly the same. Any idea why this could be?

1. make sure you are displaying in render view 2. this will prob be your light or hdri setup

Hmm, maybe you're unlucky with the font mesh geometry and globe geometry. The boolean operator is still not (yet) what it should be. What happens if you increase the curve bevel resolution?

Shift+D for copying. Shift+A for inserting a new node.

u have to make it sure u place the circle down then go to edit (so out of object mode) then u mkae sure to always copy and paste while in edit mode. hope this helped you out.

Are you in rendered view? You might be in Material preview. (4 spheres upper right hand corner of the 3D window)

Hey, if I were to export this, would you detail how I can make it so it would be transparent/green-screenable? I would love to use this but it maintains a black background when I import it somewhere.

Do you mean to export it as a movie? That might be tricky, I'm not sure blender supports that. You could try to export each image with a transparent background and then maybe use some other software.

Wow I just realized that I skipped that step! First you select the text, then you select the empty and finally you press Ctrl+P to set the empty as a parent.
