They’re certain health conditions to trigger the full alternative path. That glass breaking sound you hear is the indication that you triggered a story progressing event. So you basically just had to get his health lower without yours getting down to a certain threshold. 8:58

So i went back to sgf (summer game fest) 2024 footage and compared what went wrong. In sgf 2024, When Krillim started talking about his new move when Piccolo talks about his new move, the game automatically swaps out Goku with Krillin(but you have to keep Krillin alive ling enough for the game to do so). Goku states hes gonna buy Krillin and Piccolo time to charge up their attack. In this footage, Globku swapped Goku in before that conversation finishes, and that's when Krillin says he's too strong for him and the canon ending plays out with Goku and Raditz dying, not the what if with Krillin, Gohan, Piccolo and Master Roshi joining in for the finishinf blow on Raditz.

DUDE IVE BEEN REWATCHING STORY MODE GAMEPLAY OF THIS AND IT TURNS OUT THAT YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO beam clash with vegeta by yourself cuz when vegeta gets low it’ll trigger the dialogue he says before doing the garlicky gun “you and this planet are as good as space dust” then you’re meant to have enough ki at that time to beam clash with him and if you win it’ll kill him instantly that’s why the cutscene after that first vegeta fight is goku in the kamehameha pose 😁

I'm pretty sure they will, this game will likely have several patches not to long after its release, most likely all the moves will get a buff along with more DLC content. We definitely don't want a xenoverse 2 playstyle with 90% of your moves missing lol

I think it’s ok for the game not to communicate how to get every outcome and has different ways rather than just choosing an option. That way you can find out by yourself, just like you had to look for the what-if dialogues in BT3. I remember finding out by just experimenting, thinking something like “what happens if I beat him without pressing R3”.

I'd imagine you have to fulfill requirements to get the special what if outcome, not just select the option. Selecting these options is a bridge but you still have to meet the requirement to unlock the what if scenario, I'd imagine you didn't get the what if for Raditz because you didn't beat him before time ran out.

If the changing moveset thing isn't just a story thing (it would be weird if it was). Then really this game has everything I could want in a Dragon Ball game. I didn't care for the raging blast series, but having swappable supers (and customization in general) is something I will always praise that game for. Do we have confirmation if we're able to make customs for each form? One thing I liked to do in RB1 was give higher tier forms more and more buffs than the previous to emulate how transformations worked in the show.
