Here’s how I think Genya will work He will be 1 character, a slayer, however when he surges he becomes the demon form and loses the ability to use assist and swap however gains to demon bars each with a unique blood demon art. You could also add unique properties like it only working on nighttime maps or only working when fighting other demons. But overall I think having genya as 2 characters is a little pointless as they still are very similar

So for that tanjiro take, its not the pink dragon that hes doing in that clip. Its when he mixed thunderclap and flash with sun breathing, which in the anime, he did do in a forest to chase after Hantengu. He will prolly have a new version, but that dragon wasnt in that animation

it's prolly gonna be similar to Hinokami Tanjirou's ult, combining the movement and slashing attacks he did vs Rui in ep19 with the Clear Blue Sky finish scene. so Swordsmith Tanjirou will likely do Dragon Halo Dance, but the ending animation is the Thunderclap variant he uses to catch Hantengu. my guess anyway.

I'm excited to see the the Hashira characters special attacks since they would reveal how their other forms look animated since they were not shown in Hashira Training Arc. Like for example we only get to see one of Gyomei's stone breathing forms in the anime but maybe we will get to see his other forms he uses in infinity castle right here in the game!

I feel like the fact all the Hashira are confirmed will mean we’ll see this game covered the whole remainder of the series; Sanemi, Iguro and Gyomei don’t fight until the Infinity Castle Arc. What that means we might be able to expect from the non-Hashira newcomers: - Tanjiro (Swordsmith Village) - Nezuko (Swordsmith Village) (I think this Nezuko would be classified as a Slayer, much like Base Nezuko, but would combine elements of both Base Nezuko and Advanced Nezuko). - Genya - Gyokko (Like Globku said, probably just in his true form). - Hantengu (Which could go, like, 100 different ways) - Kaigaku - Doma - Kokushibo - Kanao (She fights for the first time in the Infinity Castle Arc). - Zenitsu (Final Battle) (This one would be awake during battle, and also have the Seventh Form as an ultimate, as you might expect) - Inosuke (Final Battle) - Tanjiro (Final Battle) (I’m not sure whether there will be two Tanjiros, one for each of the last two arcs, or one for both. Both scenarios are possible). - Muzan (Almost certainly just in his final form). - Demon Tanjiro - Yoriichi (I think he could be a funny secret character, possibly a secret superboss to close out story mode).

@ Oh. I always thought it would feel weird to cut it off before the Infinity Castle Arc, since there isn’t really any cutoff point with a fitting final boss for a game’s story mode. Akaza worked for the first game, since, as Upper Rank 3, he was leagues above anything Tanjiro and company have ever encountered, and his battle with Rengoku was an extremely significant moment in the series. Hantengu would likely be the final boss in this game’s story mode, and he just doesn’t have that quality to him.

The only thing that held Kanao from being playable in Hinokami 1 was Flower Breathing not being animated yet and sadly that’s still the case,I have faith she’ll be DLC once the first Infinity Castle movie finishes its theatrical run though,I can already picture what her Ultimate will be. I really hope the Slayer Marks are some sort of mechanic for the characters that awakened them,at least make them part of their surges. my guess is that we'll be getting a swordsmith village nezuko that (if transformations are added) can transform and exchange speed for damage, alternatively her ult would be what has the transformation, but with the mechanic that despite being a demon she might be playable in the sun, possibly being usable in a team (which you can do with base nezuko, but not transformed)
