Glock 19 vs. Glock 48: Ultimate Concealed Carry Showdown - Which One Wins?

I use my G19 for winter months and my 48 for summer. Every now and then the 43X makes an appearance as well.

I started IWB Appendix carry and it works much better with the thinner pistols, I appreciate the lighter pistols too.

I am at an age where comfort is a big deal and weight is a big deal. Until further notice, both my wife and I carry OWB and 2 extra mags with our G19s. There is something about having to modify and get the other mags for the 48 that is ok but just doesn't sit well? There are other guns I have available when I want to go smaller and lighter with good mag cap. G26? Shield, Shield Plus and Shield .45 etc. What you are showing leaves you more comfortable and safe. Cool! No argument from me here!!!

I can run the 48 OEM Mags no problem too. BTW, the PSA mags are great and you don't have to change mag releases. One thing, I've been running the Shield mags in training for a few months now, the ONLY malfunction was a "high" Primer and that was my fault!! Last Friday I ran over 200 rounds in training doing drills and NO issues!!

I got bitten on the rear during the ban on aftermarket mags for the Glock, so I don't trust them at all. While I would like a thinner gun, I still opt for the 23 every day.

I bought my wife the G48. She prefers this better than the G19. It's her carry gun, I agree with her that 4:01 the G 48 is better. I prefer G 17.

Been using the G48 as an EDC now for over a month, testing it and further testing is coming soon.

For concealed carry, the G48 is absolutely the best way to go. But using non-OEM mags in any Glock is a bad idea, and from a legal standpoint, so are aftermarket triggers.
