a friend let me shoot his g19. it was my first time to shoot a pistol but i feel it is easier to shoot compared to my .177 co2 M&P LOL.... if im going to buy a gun now the g19 is good enough for me....except the spent casing hit my head few times....and it would be nice if the slide is ss so not to worry about getting scratches

glock a glock fanboys are over priced for what you get. they could at least put steel sights and guide rods on them for the price they charge.i have a M&P9c and its great.this guy says the M&P is top heavy? he's nuts and a G fanboy.

By the way, the sights and guide rod are not an issue with glock. One of my M&P pistols popped the front sight off while shooting. They both are great guns. Wake up.

I wonder why 85% of law enforcement agencies use the Glock and not the S&W...I know.. because Glock is tried and true, the guns will eat anything you put in them, been battle tested and proved to be the best, the military now is wishing they would have went with the Glock instead of the Sig, the Sig was chosen because they offered a better price point ,but now regrettably wish they had it to do all over again...Sig at this point has been problematic, S&W was never in the running...wonder why, they failed in combat torture testing, S&W has their place in the firearm industry, but they need to stick with competition shooting, and not duty firearms unless it's a revolver.

Good comparison and video. I have the gen 4 19 and 17. I also have a m&p 9c and full size. The full size m&p is my favorite handgun, that being said I always find myself going back to the g19 for CCW. The 9c is an excellent choice for CCW as well, something about wanting to replace the 19 with the new glock killer of the day and than reaching in the safe and shooting that damn gun and coming to the realization that you should stop trying to replace what really works well. FYI this is my second g19. I sold the first one.

Love my S&W M&P's and my Glocks. There's room for all of them for me. But I tend to shoot my M&P more accurately with regard to consistent tight grouping. I attribute that to the M&P's feeling better in my hand.

And also like he said M&P’s slide is heavier…I have both,and I shoot my M&P 10 times better…. Shooting HST + p ammo,the gun it self seems to sit better and fall back on target quicker….M&P 5 Stars 👍🏾

Picked the 9c over the G19...without that external safety of course. Both are extremely reliable pistols for about the same amount of cash, but I picked the Smith because of the aesthetics - JMO of course.

Hard to say. Both are great. M&P do come with a manual safety option. If that don't matter to you. I would go with Glock

Glocks tend to shoot low for me, but I still like 'em! In my opinion, the real solution is to just have at least one of each!

it might be the sight radius. the glock is slightly longer and even that miniscule amount might give you a better aim index. great video man!!

the glock 19 is the perfect size in my opinion (if your fingers fit in the finger grooves anyway) They should make next gen without grooves and undercut trigger guard a little. it would be a lot more comfortable for a lot more people with just those two simple alterations

I've had almost every model of glock at one poit in time. I only ever had one s&w and it was the m&p9c. I sold it to buy my glock 19 that I still have. The M&P was a really soft shooter and shot accurate enough for a defense weapon. The glock on the other hand I shoot a little more accurate and holds 3 more rounds. Plus I'm a big guy, so I can easily hide the extra size IWB. Good video though. Keep them coming! I don't think you can go wrong with either. The number of police I see carrying the M&P line now is amazing. It says something when so many departments trust good ol' smith and wesson again.

The purpose of the video is excellent, if you consider size vrs rounds capacity no one wants to carry big guns..glock is manageable but in certain environments you need something more discret ...excellent

I love Glocks but hate the finger grooves. My fingers never fit in the grooves and I find my fingers riding on top of the ridges instead of in the grooves (just like yours did in this video at 3:03). Just ordered a new M&P 9c and I'm going to give them (M&P line) a try.

Would the full size M&P 9 be too large to conceal? I really prefer the S&W over the Glock but I prefer the full sized grip vs the 9C.

Depends on you. If u have not carried a full size pistol before it may be challenging. Hard for anyone to tell you that.

I pulled it off. It's not "forget about it" easy but it's definitely doable. I'm 6'0 145. Pretty slim. Appendix worked the best for me but I'm most likely switching to the 9c

Both are great guns. Both are very reliable. The Glock will never match the ergonomics of a pistol with an 18 degree grip angle. The 9C with an Apex flat trigger kit installed is a much better shooter than the Glock. If you compare felt recoil the higher slide mass(intentionally designed in) on the M&P has less felt recoil. I prefer a thumb safety on a carry gun, but the 1911 sized dual safety setup on the M&P must be modified for my carry gun by removing the left handed safety and reducing the right handed safety down to the size of the one on a Shield.

I have both and many others, love the M&P 9c, great all around gun. The 19 is just ok. My CCW is a Glock 26, not sure why the Glock 19 is so popular.

I've owned XD, M&P, and Glock. In order it's Glock, Xd, and last M&P multiple failures from the M&P I owned. Very low quality pistol. The Glock has been perfection. I have the 23 and its the perfect pistol. Excellent trigger, design, and accuracy. Could not ask for more from a pistol I so wanted to hate.

It doesn't matter what they call compact and sub-compact. The overall size of the m&p compact is closer to the 26. S&W does not make an m&p similar in size to the Glock 19.

How bout a Glock 26 vs M&P 9c? Theres a 12+2 mag for the 26, with a place for ur pinky, and u can use a Glock 19 mag with a spacer that extends the grip to 19 size too, which is why I feel like a Glock 26 is the king of versatility, with that durable dependable Glock reputation up behind it too, arguably the best carry gun ever( there needs to be at least 12 rnds in a carry gun in my mind), and having a higher capacity mag is good insurance in case of an emergency like a multiple shooter situation, its rare to be in that situation, but as long as its possible, and a man wants to carry, its his responsibility to protect innocents and himself, and he should always be ready for whatever.

As you eluded to early on in the video, the M&P9 C is more on par with the Glock 26 than the G19 effecting any grip comparison between the G19 and the M&P9C....

In my opinion this was a good comparison. Like he said, they are both compacts not subcompact (like the shield). It would've been a bad comparison if he compared the glock to the sigma.
