THE GLOCK 20 10MM IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PISTOL I NAMED HER GLOCKZILLA 😊
@lacrossed556 ай бұрын
The 10mm "gripe" would be factory ammo is usually loaded too light. You really have to read the box. Hornady Custom has some light fast loads and look to Buffalo Bore or Underwood for the heavier stuff

For people worried about flash, marketing photos purposely make it look like a fire-breather. They really don't.

Had a shooting instructor that was a former cop say that pistols with comps/ports were a bad idea on home and carry guns because if you get in a grappling match with someone and have to shoot as you draw from the holster the gasses could blind you or injure your support hand/arm like the gasses coming out of a revolvers cylinder gap. We've all seen the youtube videos where people hold hotdogs and raw chicken next to revolvers, don't think I've ever seen one done with a compensated pistol. New video idea?
@AC-bl1rl7 ай бұрын
Would be a fun video, but alot of variables affect it. Caliber, ammo choice, port or comp design, etc. My experience is they don't flash nearly as much as videos and photos tend to show. Marketing photos obviously want to highlight it, but I hardly notice it.
@Zantar457 ай бұрын
@@AC-bl1rl Yeah, I've seen them in person and the flash didn't seem like it would be a problem at night, but haven't seen anyone stick their hand or anything else above the ports,...yet 😅

wont 10mm over penetrate?
@Dimitrius001Ай бұрын
@@palpichulo6969 Depends on the loads that you use. People always talk about these for bear defense because with the right loads and barrel lengths of at least 6", you can get .41 mag performance, so yeah, using those loads, overpenetration can be an issue for predators of the two-legged variety. That said, 125 grain .357 magnum moving at 1450 fps has long been considered the gold standad for man-stopping defense rounds. 155 grain 10mm, which has the same sectional density as 125 gr .357, delivers similar performance, provided the velocity is similar. These have a tendency not to over penetrate. It's usually once you get over 180 grains with really hot loads that overpenetration starts becoming an issue. Look up Tools & Targets. He has a lot of great 10mm gel tests.

Great video! Just subscribed to your channel today. You just reviewed what I consider one of the best of the larger caliber carry guns available. My main EDC is a Gen 4 G20 with a tlr1, usually at 3 o’clock using a Bravo OWB with their body hugging dual paddle kit for CC. A simple cheap 15 minute modification to their tlr1 G19/17 holster ended up being better than any others I have at any price. Safariland is a great OWB open carry retention holster. And yes they do shoot 40 cal all day long, but it’s not a bad idea to grab an actual conversion barrel. It’s larger that most people prefer to CC but absolutely no problem for those that do carry full size guns. Thanks for the great video, now I need yet another Glock, lol. I have a few comped models that all work as promised and it looks like it really makes a difference on a G20C as I’d expect. Also, you are correct that the upward gas, flame and frag is not bad. The cool photos are not what’s seen by the eye. However, there is a learning curve for carry! As mentioned they are Louder, especially when in self defense with no ear pro. And when firing from certain positions and angles you need to be aware of what’s going on. For instance, out a car window with a right hand shot placed under your left arm, or a hip shot close to the body. Just don’t do the first example! Simply move your left arm and press the gun forward a bit or tilt it slightly right away from face. Same from those low close to the body shots. Slightly away from the body or a slight tilt to the right (right handed shooter). Because depending on the ammo and gun, some metal can be directed upward from the ports. I’ve never had a problem with it on several different models, but it exists and it’s better to learn to avoid it.

Were these compensated glocks recently added to the California roster? I had no idea they were available here.
@Zantar457 ай бұрын
The comp Glocks have been on the roster for well over a decade, Glock just stopped making them but kept paying the roster renewal fee every year to have them listed. Because of that Glock doesn't have to add a stupid magazine safety or chamber loaded indicator like all the new roster additions need.
