Glock 44 22 lr! Is it ammo picky?

I bought 2 44's one for my daughter and one for my wife. Tried using the 333's and had nothing but trouble with both pistols, feeding issues, jams, stove pipes... after we finished the box I switched to some leftover CCI's that have been in the safe for over 25 years. Out of 115 of those, I only had one failure to fire... I will never use the Winchester .22's again. UPDATE: I purchased Aguila Super Extra 40 grain. Went to the range, shot 440 rounds between both pistols. We had 3 misfires and that was it. That is a A+ in my book. If you're considering the G44, make sure you feed it good ammo and you will be very satisfied with this little pistol.

My G44 has had no issues with ammo. Its ran flawlessly with all brands of ammo

Love my G44! Havent had any issues except for maybe the 1st 200 rds. Had no more than 3 FTF/FTE. Ran CCI 40 grain mini mag for the next few hundred rds and have not had any issue at all with any ammo. I actually purposely didn't clean it for almost a thousand rds and it still ate anything. It has since been cleaned up and is running like a champ.

My Glock 44 was a little picky at first, but after OCD cleaning the first 500 rounds it has become nearly flawless. I think.22 handguns and rifles need to be broken in for awhile to become reliable.

Use good High Velocity ammo it will run fine.

I have the same issue with the Walmart 333 boxes. First round has an issue feeding but flawless for the other 9 rounds. It’s a design issue with the mag/gun. Ran some standard velocity CCI LRN 40gr and it was having a few short strokes on the slide but these were the very first box of 50 I ran through the gun so maybe it was break-in growing pains until everything was seated. Put about 300 rounds through it so far, one session just to break it in.

I have shot a Glock 44 and found it to be very good with very high speed ammo mixed, ammo and slow ammo very unreliable. I would not buy one, I suspect that there will be lot of used ones for sale in the future..
