Glock Concealed Carry: Glock 29 10mm Sootch00 Edition I get a lot of questions on what I carry so when I bought a Glock 29 Gen 4 from a friend, I decided to show what I like to do to a new carry option. Carry guns are all about personal preference so this is just my choices but these can apply to a number of different firearms. #Glock29 #Glock10mm #ConcealedCarry

I’ve had my Glock 29 for about 3 years. It’s one of my truck guns. I conceal carry it also. 10mm was one of the only types of ammunition that could be found and at a decent price during the ammo shortage. I was smiling every time I heard people complaining about not finding 9mm ammo. The Glock 29 is the only Glock that I can say that I will never get rid of.

So cool you carry a Glock 29. I have been for a few years, and it's hard for me to want to carry any other pistol for CCW, unless I have to. My first 10mm was the Glock 40 and I fell in love with the power of the 10mm rounds, so I got a Glock 29 just to replace my Springfield Armory 9mm I was carrying for years. I've done my own customizing to my gun, so it's set up with excellent after markets and improvements, to include stippling, under cut and reshaped trigger guard, extended take down lever, extended slide lock release, trijicon HD night sights, Stream light TLR-8, three different spring sets, 29 cent trigger job, polished metal parts through out, polished guide rails, anti-drift pin set, and had a custom Kydex holster made for it.

As always, thank you for sharing. Have my fair share of accomplishments, know what I know, and simply setup my pistols for optimal functionality for me or the wife. But it's really nice to see what those of you that command respect in the industry are doing.👍Heck, first I thought you were going to be talking 26, then I saw the rail and thought 19, then got pleasantly surprised. So, just getting my 30S finally set up for concealed carry, switching from a 19X. Pretty much identical to yours, except I've added a Anachri slide spider and Talon grips; Inforce APLc in a modified Werks M2 Glock 19 holster ... only a little screw loosening needed. Some TruGlo sights, of course, but I kind of like the Gen 3 triggers; the slack seems to add yet another safety feature. With 10, 13, 15 round mag versatility ... all concealable depending on what I'm wearing. Ironically, with a NeoMag as well. And now you tell me I can run .40 through the 10mm Glocks? Goodbye Glock 21✌🏼, hello Glock 29. 👋

Some guns are more art than tool. Some guns are more tool than art. In my opinion, all striker fired pistols are tools and should be treated as such. I have a Glock 29 set up similarly with the Trijicon night sights and Pearce grip extension. I use a Vedder IWD thin kydex holster. It's a surprisingly manageable recoil with the way they have the guide rod/spring assembly designed. That's shooting Sig and Underwood ammo that is loaded 1250 to 1450 fps. It feels like less recoil than my Sig P220 Hunter, which is a full size 40 oz pistol.

I've got Night Fision sights on my G29 as well. U notch rear. I live in Connecticut so it's 10 rounds in a mag for me so I just put the Pearce extensions on all my mags. Apex flat faced trigger. Underwood 155 grain XTP's. Alaskan Ballistics chronoed it out of a G29. 1,427 fps average out the 3.88' barrel. That's 701 foot pounds...

Me too, if they ever come back on the market. Until the military and government come back to their senses and realized they screwed up by going to 9mm, and people quit lockstepping with them in their hardon to have the same thing, .45, 10mm, and .357 Sig are going to be unicorns. ☹️ Eventually they'll come back, but I literally haven't seen a 21, 36, 30, 30SF, 30S, or 29 in a couple of years now. I *did* find a 20 a year ago and got it, but the dealer says that Glock told him that the vast majority of their production has basically been 9mm.

It'll really come down to what loads you use. But apples to apples the 10mm still, usually, has more oomph in the G29 than .40 has in a G22.

The president never threatened the use if nukes. He said the argument that people need military grade weapons to take on the government in the event of a tyrannical takeover is stupid, because the government has F-15s and nuclear weapons, and that basically if it ever came to that, your AR15 would be like bringing a water pistol to a gun fight.

You can Gorilla glue the X-Grip onto the 30+ mags and get them to seat incredibly well.. I glue all of them, even the ones that should seat just fine so that they are locked in very well..

The only thing I have changed out in mine, are the sights. I put Trijicon Night sights on all mine. I know the Glock trigger is not the best, but I leave them on mine. Why, because I carry my Glocks for CCW, for self defense, not to shoot at the range, although I do shoot them at the range, to make sure they function, but other then that, they are stock triggers. Who gives a flying dookie about a 2-4 LB trigger on a defense gun. That gets in the dangerous area for myself. My Glocks are not range, competition guns, or I would have light triggers on them. In a self defense situation, your not going to care how crisp your trigger is, etc.....
