You have no idea how much this video helped me make up my mind with my next purchase. I have literally been back and forth between the sig m18 and G45. I was at the gun store two days ago and almost brought home the sig m18. The owner of the shop told me has some G45’s on order and should arrive any day now. I tried several pistols and for me the G45 felt the best in my old arthritic hands. I brought the G45 up and it lined up so naturally with target and sights. Everything felt right about it. I would choose a G45 . . . that's probably why I bought one :-) Thanks for the video.

It’s a funny time to be a Glock fan I bought a G17 Gen 5. And loved it. Then the 19X came out and it kinda improved all the issues I had with my 17. No magwell cutout. It had a better finish. Better color. Larger mags. And now this G45 comes out. I’ll keep my 19X, but these are sweet. Now if Glock made a Gen 5 10mm, I’d be buying one in a heartbeat. Annnnnd of course, the P320 choked. I CANNOT sell my P320. Hate that piece of shit.

I already have a 19X that I shoot extremely well with so there’s no need for a g45 for me. However the g19 mos gen 5 is another story. That may be the perfect glock that I’ve been waiting for

PROTECTIVE RAILROAD DAD I would honestly recommend a 19X with a milled slide rather than the MOS. It uses a plate that poorly fits. And has shallow screws. And then you put your optic on the plate and screw it in with shallow screws. It ends up being really high and will come loose sooner than you’d expect. When compared to a dedicated milled slide.

I just bought one at the end of December, 2018. I had already owned 2 other Glocks but wanted to add a 9mm to my collection. Originally, I went in to buy a Smith&Wesson M&P 2.0 9mm. with the 17 round mags. I had tried the gun out and it felt amazing in my hand. Unfortunately, the M&P 2.0, sold the day before I went back to the shop. I could have ordered another one but didn’t want to wait. I then looked at the Glock 17, and Glock 19, but the shop didn’t have any blue label 9mm Glocks in stock. Again, I could have ordered one in and waited and maybe in hindsight, I should have because I would have saved money. All of my other Glocks came with factory night sights and those are a must for me. The Glock 17, and Glock 19, that I looked at, both had the cheap, plastic, stock sights and I would have then had to buy the night sights for one of them and then installed them and re-sighted in the gun. The shop owner then showed me the new Glock 45, that he had just got in stock. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a blue label but it did have the factory night sights on it. I also loved a lot of the new features added to the Gen 5 models. The Glock 45, felt great in my hand and I loved having the slightly longer grip and magazines from the Glock 17, that would allow me to hold an additional 2 rounds per mag. With the Glock 17, frame and grip, that is slightly longer than the Glock 19, but having the shorter Glock 19, slide and barrel, makes the gun feel much more balanced than the Glock 17, and Glock 19. My only gripe about the Glock 45, is the fact that the new Gen 5’s eliminate the finger grooves on the grip. Because my Gen 3 Glock 22, and Gen 4 Glock 21, both have finger grooves on there grips, the Glock 45, feels slightly different in my hand. It’s not s real big deal but the finger grooves feel much more comfortable to me. I have owned my Gen 3 Glock 22, for 10 years now and out of all of my firearms, it has been used the most. Then the department that I work for, also issues us Glock 22’s. I think everyone that my department owns, are also Gen 3 Glock 22’s. I have been with my department for 12 years so that is how long it’s been since I started using Glocks with finger grooves on the grips. With my Gen 4 Glock 21, I have owned it since either 2014 or 2015? With the larger grip on it, the finger grooves make it also feel much more comfortable. Despite that one dislike, I love everything else about my Glock 45. So much so, that my Glock 45, is now my new, every day, conceal and carry gun. I am now considering buying at least 3 to 5 more. 1 each for my wife and kids to keep either on them, in their vehicles and/or in their bedrooms for self defense, should a situation ever arise where they needed a gun to protect themselves. For anyone interested in this gun, I highly recommend it. The quality and finish are top notch, and the reliability, is just as good as every other Glock, out there on the market.

Ok, to the guy with the Metallica shirt. The one who doesn't understand the whole thing with finger grooves? Let me break it down for you. If we all had little hands like yours perhaps there would be no complaints about finger grooves. Thank god we all don't. Those of us with man sized hands the finger gooves don't play well on a shortened frame glock 19. The grooves hit me in the center of my fingers. Not an issue with the Glock 17 or the new Glock 45. I hope that helps you understand that whole thing.

There are models of the g45 that come with the glock night sights from the factory. I got mine for $550 with night sights and love it right along with the 19x. The g45 compared to 19x night sights has a wider rear so more "air" comes through while looking at the front dot. While not identical to the 19x's night sights, they're still awesome.

The g45 magazines don't work in the g19× the g45 is a much better platform. Seems to me everyone that has the 19x is wanting to get rid of it and get the g45 . Look on armslist its flooded with g19x.

The 45 is now my edc appendix in a sidecar holster with no issues printing so for anyone saying it’s not for ccw you haven’t tried it or you are obese like so many are these days.

That was my main question Matt. I have a T-Rex arms Sidecar holder for my g19 Gen 4. And I also appendix carry. Im not obese but I was worried about the 45 with a full frame and possible printing.

Dwight I wouldn’t worry at all. I see no difference in my 19 or 45. I’ve also been using the T Rex Raptor and it has zero printing for me. I wear 5.11 polo style golf shirts and the freedom flex button downs.

I’m looking for my first but can’t decide between the Gen 5’s... Here in Estonia we train with a 19 Gen 4 as we have an exam before we can get a permit. I like the 19 Gen 4 but feel the 19 Gen 5 cutout could be an issue. Any thoughts for a new shooter?

Guns & Stuff I think he meant Gen 5 vs G45. Which should be the same because I’ve pulled mine and they match. And my Gen 5 parts all work on a Gen 4. Minus the slide release which would require a slight frame modification and slide cut.

I've noticed similarities in regards to douchebags with lifting videos being crazy anal about form and how to hold weights. Gun guys as well on how to hold the pistol. Those thumbs lol. Seems robotic copy cat vs what's comfortable and to shoot accurate
