I believe there's also a tool/weapon in the cm that allows you to set a height and flatten large sections to that setting. Can't quite remember which one, would have to look it up.

that whole section of the house is broken off from the rest of the house. The reason its 1 block lower than the rest is because it’s supposed to have ‘fallen/sunk’ into the ground from the flood water probably softening the ground too much. As for where the water comes from I’m not sure. Im surprised you didn’t notice this, especially with the cracks going all the way up to the roof and even the roof (and windows) being a block lower. The entire section broke off and sunk into the ground. Its an interesting POI design and I really like the direction they went with it. I also like the renovations you did nonetheless. Instead of raising the living room back up you instead made it a modern-looking sunken in living room.

In the creative menu if you turn on dev items there is a wrench called the block replace tool under the tools section. This thing will allow you to use the z key to choose chunks of blocks to completely get rid of or replace with another block type. It makes work like what you did in the backyard soooooo much easier. Sadly it wont allow you to put a block in a spot that is not currently occupied by another block but you can use it to replace multiple blocks with air.

Just putting it out there, maybe put a flashing lights warning on these videos, the muzzle flash of the destruction gun (Or whatever it's called) is painful to the eyes at night even without having any major issues with my eyes so I'd guess it could have a bad effect on people who suffer with seizures.

The reason the floor is sunk. It's too sell the idea that the house cracked (the huge cracks in the wall) and that part of the foundation fell allowing the water to seep in. Now the reason the foundation cracked and the house fell is because the standing water in the backyard, well it caused all the dirt under the house to move from under it causing stress on the building which made it crack and fall down. Somebody had probably already said it but I'm too lazy to read the comments! Lol

When you chose this location, I really thought you were going to turn 'excess' water in the sunken side of the house into and indoor outdoor pool swimming pool, maybe not the greatest barrier to a zombie apocalypse giant hole in the side of the house but could have looked sweet :)

I find when you have a small horde base right next to other buildings (and even trees) some of the zombies will hit the other buildings (and trees) and your small base doesn't take all the fallout.
