I totally agree with you, after watching the entire video. Full disclosure, I had left a lengthy comment, after watching just a few minutes of the video, that I had to delete. I was wrong in assumption about where you going with the comparison. Luckily for me, I kept the video going while I was typing. When I heard you say you would choose the Glock if you had to go to war, I knew you were an honest broker; and not some shill for Staccato. Well done!

Great video as always. You are among my favorite gun reviewers. I have Staccatos and 1911s which I enjoy and sometimes carry but after a career carrying a G23, I still carry a Glock (currently a Gen 5 G27) frequently. Thanks for posting these informative and unbiased videos.

I started with 1911's and had no desire for a plastic gun. After a lot of miles under my belt I started having back issues, and in 2006 at the suggestion of someone I trusted who's been there done that, I picked up my first G19. First time out with it at 7 yards I was faster and even with the mushy trigger, had better accuracy. With the exception of FN and Canik, I've been through every quality poly gun and still carry a Glock to this day. Getting the boat anchor out of my pants made a big difference in my quality of life. My EDC is mostly a G17.5 or G19.4.

I can not deny that I still need some eye candy with my pistols. Accuracy, comfort, and reliability are definitely available with many guns out there, so my tiebreaker these days is the appeal to they eye for me. I am willing to pay a reasonable amount more, assuming the other boxes are close. Great episode as always.

I was gonna say. I own a Staccato P WITHOUT the RDS, its just the way we were trained in the PD. People love their RDS and Staccatos, take them off and all of a sudden things change, rear blacked out sight with a green fiber front. As for my Glock, it's a 4th Gen with bright tru-glo's, solid guide rod, trigger and it shoots very plush and smooth. 2011's are fun but when it comes down to it...we all know its the price and the tacticool looks of it that gets people. I am eyeballing that Glock 19C though.

I also own both of these pistols. Your video while entertaining is akin to drag racing a Dodge Hellcat against a Toyota Corrola.

Two different FAs but of the same function and reliability. The issue there is, if you are willing to spend more, then you know which one to choose.

I put an Overwatch precision trigger in my G19-3 with Brownell's slide, Holosun 507c, and KKM barrel. and it almost hangs with my P.

I definitely feel what you are saying about switching between the triggers. Even rotating between the staccato and a canik (which have great triggers) its just no compariosn with the action doing different things. In the end, what i take from your video though, the one you know and practice with more will always win.

Dope video. Just got my hands on a 19C and was wondering if anyone would’ve made a comparison between the 2. Now here I am lol.

@GR1videos I always enjoy your videos and look forward to what's to come! I have yet to shoot a 9mm double stack 9mm 1911/2011...when it does happen, I have a feeling it's going to be an expensive experience... :)

I’m a 1911/2011 guy for the trigger but it’s hard to beat Glock durability and reliability, the only drawback to the 19c is it’s a Gen 4 and they had some serious extraction issues with brass to the face. So if it were a Gen 5 I think that would be a tough decision but I still think I’d take the oh I don’t know either one😂! By the way if you want another 19c check Cabelas or bass pro shop they have them in stock. Rick

swap the backplates and put the 19c slide on a gen5 frame
Depends what it’s for. For competition, the staccato, for everything else neither of the 2 choices. Comps on a defensive/home defense pistol is silly I would run a non comped G19 for everything else.

What distance do you recommend sighting in the red dots for on hand guns
@r1sabotage11 ай бұрын
Hi there, it all depends on how accurate you are, if you're not going to get it done professionally. I start at around self-defense range, 5-7 yards, and keep moving back until I stop being accurate. But if you haven't got the trigger control down with your accuracy, then you're wasting your time.
@Colonel1Bravo11 ай бұрын
@@r1sabotage without a red dot I’m holding about a 6 to 7 inch group at 25 yards. At 7 yards it’s about a 1 to 2 inch but that is going slow (all with a USP). My staccato’s are more accurate and have red dots. I can shoot better groups but still not fast. I have to slow down or it gets way bigger with speed. They are still good hits just much bigger groups. Many of my other pistols don’t hold very good groups. I just picked up a P07 that has good groups without a red dot. My p10c while a great gun, doesn’t have good groups at all.
@r1sabotage11 ай бұрын
@Colonel1Bravo just remember, there is a difference between target shooting and combat shooting. Target shooting is nice, but in a real-life situation, if you don't practice combat shooting, you will not develop that skill to react fast in a self-defense situation. If you're hitting the vitals, just keep working on it to shrink the group. practice your dry firing and pray attention to the sights. if they're disturbed when you shoot, that's your group widening.
@Colonel1Bravo11 ай бұрын
@@r1sabotage will give it a try.

Why don’t you have the 19C cut for an optic?
@glocksrock1 Жыл бұрын
It throws a lot of carbon and m pretty sure it would get the optic lens dirty very quickly. With that said, I have thought about it.

Slap a ranger proof trigger on that glock and a dot and than go back to the test .
