I gotta disagree Lenny, i honestly love the sandpaper grips for carry. It doesn’t “hurt” or “annoy” me at all. It literally locks my hands in, and is perfect if you don’t wanna get a stipple job. However ur right the tape usually starts to warp and slip after a while and the tape glue starts to melt. If this defgrip is even half as good as the sandpaper style and doesn’t slip off the gun after awhile, then i will absolutely have to try this. I’m an advocate for insanely aggressive stippling for carry guns, I could care less if it “hurts” (which 9/10 it doesnt) but for my non stippled frames this might work wonders. Is there a sandpaper version? Thanks for this video!

I wanna know just how many limp wristed, no grip strength pistol shooters there are? If you can't hang onto your gun with your hands dripping wet, get a different gun or try some exercise. This is such a non-issue as to be a really bad joke.
@SullyCortez8 ай бұрын
@@lenzielenski3276lmao bruh… it’s cool when you go to the range and plink your 20-50 rounds… but when you shoot an average of 300-800 rounds or take a class in the 85-95deg heat, running these guns with the same “first 30rounds grip strength” for hours on end becomes tiresome. Not to mention, I’ll take EVERY bit of practical enhancement(s) to my carry guns to give me the advantage in a fight. It should NEVER be a fair fight, and as Dave Spaulding said… “if you’re not cheating in a gunfight, you’re not trying hard enough to win.” Miss me with the “I’m holier than thou because I can hold my stock gun in its stock configuration for 20 rounds.” Both max michel and Eric Graufel AND Bob Vogel use grip enhancements… of some form. Guess they’re a joke too right? 😂😂😂🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

@@SullyCortez You're talking to the wrong audience. I used to go to the range 3x a week shooting at least 100 founds EACH through a minimum of 4 guns. Often more. This in CA where 100+ temps are normal and common. Only stopped when my hearing was suffering too much. Don't know any of those jokers, I'm a Rob Leatham Jeff Cooper generation guy. I'm also betting Jerry M. doesn't have any such thing on his guns. If you think it gives you an advantageyou do you. Just don't believe for a second it really means anything.
@SullyCortez8 ай бұрын
@@lenzielenski3276 ahhhh it makes sense now. Jeff cooper era got it. When “real men only carried a .45” and “slow down to get your hits” was the mentality at the forefront of pistol teaching. We’ve advanced since then friend, and utilizing some form of non permanent grip texture to aid in your shooting ability doesn’t make you any less of a “man” or any less of an accomplished shooter. What it “means”, is that you like the feel of the grip and it helps you retain control over the gun… which is what matters most individually. Yes a “good grip” can be done with a stock gun that has shitty grip texture like the Glocks, however why not use em if they help you? What about the 84yr old arthritic grandma who can’t bear down on the gun with significant grip strength? Or the 21yr old female who doesn’t have the strength or time to train 3x a week in 100 deg California heat shooting in excess of 900+ rounds (which seems like an AWFUL lot in a week to me 😂)? Should they “exercise more” or do you maybe think adhesive grip texture could possibly help them out? Oh and do 10 seconds of research on who Bob Vogel & Eric Graufel are… believe they’ve both outshot Latham if I’m not mistaken

I have no other need or use for a gun except for self protection or others. What should I get? 🙄
@SullyCortez8 ай бұрын
Oof… please get some training friend. This is the worst mindset to have. If you think you’re ready to carry because you put 20 rounds through the gun and then stick it in a pouch and on the day you’re gonna “rise to the occasion” and “handle your business” in a deadly force encounter you are REALLY setting yourself up for failure. Ask Jared Reston how that mindset turned out. You need to practice as OFTEN as you can (maybe 1-2 times a week) and get so good with that fanny pack pistol that John Wick would shit his pants if he saw you shoot. Remember… novices practice till they get it right… pros practice till they can’t get it wrong.
