Iron helmet has saved me and the scenario at least a dozen times. Yea eagle eye googles are great for trample or whirlwind but since the iron helmet is 20 gold cheaper I prefer it.

The last scenario I played I had the iron helmet save me from at least 3 x2 attacks. I think this item is a pretty easy get for 20g on any tank character.

I was going to comment this. I'm sure in a 2 merc party, having the goggles as a brute is better as both characters need to deal a good amount if damage. However in a 4 merc party, as the brute, having the Iron Helmet, Hide armour and minor heal for 30g instead, allowed me to be the "tank" of the party. Especially when combined with Warding Strength. The first perk was used to eliminate the -1s from the hide armour. This allowed the rest of my party to focus on damage and additional crowd control.

Funny enough, my gloomhaven jaws of the lion pair is Htchet and the voidwarden and I adore the combo since it’s both damage and crow control 😁

my group has beaten around 15 scenarios and we forgot that scenario level is average party level divided by 2 we didnt divide it at all, causing us to take so long to make progress until recently

I love the difficulty. We fail our first time everytime. Its always due to fluffing about. Last night our tanks couldnt move due to constant immobilize archers. But our range players refused to move in until they engaged. 5 rounds wasted lol.

As far as Iron helmet vs eagle eye goggles; one of the campaigns I'm playing is 2 player saw and sun combo. It is a shield/retaliate build that is very effective and borderline broken. The sun is tanking and the only way that she can get damaged by an attack is through a x2 or a bless even at level 7. 90%+ of her damage is through retaliate. We have her equipped with the Iron helmet and she does not need the eagle eye goggles. Very fringe but that is a least one situation.

Last night we played gloomhaven for the first time. Spellweaver and Mindthief brough up summons which blocked the doors to the archer room for everybody else for 3 turns :) It was comedy gold. We lost obviously.

I’ve lost 4 times in scenario 30 in frosthaven, playing solo! I played JotL but this is next level lol there are too many enemies and no where to go, 17 in one room by round 9 I mean it’s just insane! And you have to protect the object which ends up killing me every time lol. I can’t believe they want you to raise the difficulty on solo, I’m actually gonna lower it. I would love to see a video on it, cuz I honestly think it’s near impossible even with incredible luck.

Personally, im a big fan of the Two Mini's class but find its a little tougher due to lack of precise control. Any hints/tips?

Easy way is to spec all for Concentrated Rage and then just let it mow through things, occasionally moving it when it is going to take way too much damage and also making sure you have a little bit of crowd control and disarm to help keep it out of trouble. Hello, thanks for the clarifications. I do have a question about doors, I am currently playing Jaws of the Lion, and if I playing correctly when I open a door the rules say that I have to finish my turn immediately but in other videos I have seen, the people move later on and they also do play the second card. Are the rules different in Gloomhaven, Frosthaven and Jaws of the Lion or am I doing something wrong?

You can continue your turn like normal after opening a door, I believe the only thing you need to keep in mind is that AFTER you are done, monsters behind that door may get to retroactively take their turn depending on initiative.

Frost Hollow, 2 player. Brute goes on 15. Both are lvl 5. 4 lvl 3 hounds swarm our Brute: 4 attacks: 5 damage, 5 damage, 3 damage. Go. Good game. Gloomhaven is hard.

About the second tip I have a doubt. Enemies initiative card is flipped AFTER player choose their cards

Stat card, not initiative. Check the base move and calculate from that.
