In this clip, Gloria Steinem, then editor of Ms. Magazine, raves about a new novel she had just read, "The Color Purple" by Alice Walker. The interview was part of the WNYC program Insight, a series of New York City-centric interviews conducted from 1982-1983 by Stuart Scheftel.
