That is what "live in" care can do. Make up artists and all the clothes in the world at fingertips! Makes quite a difference. And a special chef to keep you eating properly. Something to live for . and son who cares and has one home , close by. .People love you when yo are rich. People will help you be more modern and keep your mind full of activity. Good thoughts and memories that are " mostly but not all" good * we all have good and bad in life) She found her way above ,but never over, it all.

She had a life of great fortune but also tragedy. Her husband (anderson's father) died young during heart surgery and her son committed suicide by jumping off the ledge of this apartment while she watched and tried to talk him out of it. She was very successful in her own right as a business woman and I think very strong to have endured this long with that tragedy in her life.

I wore her jeans as a teen in the 70's and have always thought she was a style icon. She is genuine. I love that she surrounds herself with her own memories and well loved art, furniture and design. I am drawn to magazines such as Milieu and Cottage - both different but both mix old with new. Just because you didn't buy your furniture at West Elm or Jonathan Adler yesterday doesn't mean it isn't great style (I think younger folk miss that). Great style is curated and organic over a lifetime. The portrait of her mom is stunning. And I love Gloria's pleated ruffle caftan, the color is delicious.

LOL, I hardly think she's expressing herself "in outrageous ways". I'd say it's more an old style of decorating, my Aunt's in her 90's and lives the same way. A maximal look of numerous things a 90 year old would like to surround herself with, down seating, lots of pink and white, antiques, lots of paintings, and some fun pieces. But I admire that -- she adds the things SHE likes rather than bow to current minimalist fashion. Brava!

The familiarity here is comforting and I'm enamored of her work and would give my eye teeth to see her in her natural habitat, this shall suffice and I'm so grateful this fleeting glimpse was captured for posterity! Grand Dames are growing rarer and rarer, i fear the glorious eccentricity of this era's woman has crashed and burned and we are all nothing more than generic, flaccid shadows of woman two to three times our age that we can't even dream of holding a candle to! Stunning. What a feast! Homes of this quality, this magnificent sense of idiosyncrasy, quirk, intelligence AND grandeur are so rare. My absolute favourite and nowhere near enough video tours of these sorts of theatrical, sumptuous, atmospheric historically informed homes are up online. I continue to search doggedly, for getting lost in the fever dreams of such glorious aesthetes is my drug of choice. Thank you so much for this upload, ravishing!! 😍🤤😵‍💫☺

What a lovely little visit. This decor is the story of a life, simply magnificent like her. She looks so nice with a delicate presence. Beautiful, artistic and so feminine at the same time. I can easily understand Anderson's sadness since his mourning ... Her mother is like Audrey Hepburn, timeless.

I think she has a beautiful space, however, I don't think their lighting director was on their game. They make it look dark and stuffy when it's very curated and cozy.

@Mariyeen Acheege it did remind me a bit of the grey gardens Kennedy home... but I think Jacksons right. It was 100% styled by an artist. Artists are eclectic and hoardish. Clearly they knew how to light for the host with the sun in the back... but they purposefully made it dark. I would disagree on the cozy though. Lol. It's too busy. My eye is wondering everywhere. Definitely a place i could find inspiration...and since she paints there, that's probably why she styled her home the way she didn. It's an extreme gallery wall.

Bravo to Ms. Vandibuit. You have lived a life no one can now. People carve attention with no tallent, you have a lovely son, and class and I don't mean because of the money. Having money doesn't bring people class, I've known people with little money with had way more class then people with a crap load. And even though you got it, your one classy lady ❤️😉
