Magnificent. Regular polymer clay doesn't always appeal to me for jewellery but this looks great. Thank you for sharing.

You could put a different top on your cutter and I think you could use it for a lot longer.

Please fix the graphic with the flames that says to bake at 375degrees....You will have burned earrings and noxious fumes.

@@GLorious_Creations How did you edit the video (remove the text)? I didn’t think you could edit videos once they were uploaded to KZbin! I’d appreciate some advice on this!

I just took out the whole clip. There is no way to add anything to a video on You Tube Editor that I am aware of... at the moment, but maybe they will change that in the future. I used the cut an trim feature. I don't know if this is helpful or not. :-) (Wish I could've just changed the text really quick.)

@@GLorious_Creations Yeah, I realized after I asked, that you’re able to remove clips, just not edit within a frame, or add something lol Thank you,though 🥰

I watched your video 3 times and followed your instructions 100%. Several pieces burnt and the others I have No translucent effect. Oven temp right on. Baked 40 minutes as bendable at 30. What did I do wrong. First time using translucent (sculpy premo). Any tips.
@GLorious_Creations Жыл бұрын
Hello Linda. I am so sorry to hear you are having difficulty. Polymer clay is supposed to be bendable, so I suspect that you may be baking the pieces too long. As far as the translucent, try a little less alcohol ink and when you mix it together leave a few spots where it isn't totally mixed in and you might have better translucent effects. I remember the first time I used translucent clay it didn't come out see through at all, I know how disappoint it can be. Just keep trying, you will get the hang of it.

Thank you I will. Your work is lovely and I was hoping for similar. I will push on. 🤗
@dragonmomma7145 Жыл бұрын
I’ve been thinking about it and you could also try using less of the solid colored clay and/or add more translucent clay without any alcohol ink added to it. Good luck, please keep me posted on how it goes!
@lindamorse1335 Жыл бұрын
Will do. I am certainly not ready to give up on it.

Hi there! Baking your pieces too long will not cause them to burn. Try tenting your piece and get a oven thermometer your oven can spike sometimes and cause your stuff to burn. 😊

Where did you get the star tool

I think it came in a package of cheap clay I bought when I was first starting out… (before I knew better.) but I cannot be 100% certain.

They are pretty but im wondering if they were too thin? Im not sure what all those tools did to the clay as u were smooshing it lol, it seems they didnt do anything? Im new to polymer clay so im just questioning lol
@GLorious_Creations Жыл бұрын
When you make mokume gane the upper layers are pushed down into the lower layers of the clay making interesting details and patterns appear. I apologize for not explaining that more clearly. Maybe I should make one with different colors so you can really see the effects better. To make it thicker, you can always cut the clay and stack it again. There are many ways to make it but I started with such as small amount that I didn't want to cut and stack it. I hope this helps.
