Light-heavyweight tournament favorite Spong nearly got taken out by Duut in the opening round of the quarter-final. He raised himself from the canvas to knock Duut out with his very next punch in an outcome even Hollywood writers would dismiss as unrealistic.

I remember watching this live. I was shocked when Duut dropped Spong but when Spong measured Duut with his left and then landed that devastating counter right hand I was out of my chair jumping around like a mad man. Lol. It was awesome.

HAHAHAHA! HOLY SHHIIT XD This is why Tyrone is my favorite fighter. Duut asked for it so baad. He clearly never sat down watched some films and studied his technique. When Spong lays up that jab and its touching you your pretty much kissing the barrel of a gun. BOOM HEADSHOT! If you really looked close at the first knockdown you can clearly see Spong went down because he pushed him with force. Then he came back with a powerful connecting slice to the temple snapping his neck back. KING OF THE RING!

Tyrone also teaches us here why we don't like to slip jabs to the inside. Duut stabbed him with the first jab. Tyrone didn't like it, so Duut immediately went back to it with the right loaded this time. Tyrone was moving and tried to slip it to the inside, and his chin was right there wide open for Duut's big right hand behind the jab. Tyrone realized what happened and was all "gr8 b8 4 the str8, m8!"

fantastic overhand right from spong, that dude was naive going in to brawl the moment i saw spong with his left hand out to find range i suspected he would throw a heavy overhand right and he just about killed him. duut needs to learn to control his emotions if he played it a little bit conservative and picked his shots he might have been able to catch spong, lack of experience and spong proves experience trumps all
