It’s ridiculous to take points from Petch when Kevin is the one initiating every single clinch by stumbling forward.

Something about the mats caused alot of slipping. Petch fell a few times after throwing kicks so thats probably why kevin stumbled so much when pressuring

Petch: 120 of 178 total strikes KVN: 95 of 250 total strikes pretty good indicator of who is the more refined striker of the two. Petch wasn't even operating at his typical distance or pace but still outclassed him.
@maxmustermann29082 жыл бұрын
true but the point is, that pitch *couldn't operate at his typical distance or pace, because Kevin strategy was not to play Peches game. petch is the better one, but Kevin was a good challenger.

i'm sorry but Vannostrand is one of the most awkward, amature-ish, untalented fighters i have ever seen competing at this level.. it doesn't make sense lol.. He is that fighter that no one likes to fight because they know they'll probably have the most clunky fight of their career.. He owns some power but it's like he uses it to just make the fight even more awkward.. EDIT: The holding many times is caused by the way super mario rushing his body in like an idiot EVERY time.. He doesn't even know what he wants to do.. This is too common but you have to fight to understand.. ..or at least have a talent at recognizing situations like this..

Messy messy fight. Why does it take Petch so long to stop clinching? Sittichai stopped after a few fights. He is so good that he can still win with point deductions but common its just dumb. Maybe Glory should just break clinches fast instead of penalizing them with point deductions so that people just train some clinch and its an even playing field.
@bjarnecollet18074 жыл бұрын
They do break fast but you are allowed to throw something directly after you engage the clinge. I think they should have given a point deduction earlier, cause petch made clear that everytime he had the change he went for the clinch
@TheMendo1234 жыл бұрын
Petch is better overall than Sittichai, but Sittichai has better boxing so it's more difficult for him to fight in close without clinching. Petch has problems with tall and southpaw fighters, which Kevin is both. His fights with Adamchuck have been ugly too and I think the next one will be the same
Impractical rules by Glory: no holding, let them hold so the ref can break them up. These guys are from MT background with clinching as part of the fight. Glory should revise its rules for a more exciting fight by allowing clinching, holding, throwing.

In fact i don't think i have ever seen a referee doing "good" enough for us in situations like this.. They just haven't figured it out yet but refs are not in the top of the pyramid to blame so blindly.. and that comes from a Thai fanatic who belives the ONLY true refs are the THAI refs..
@kool77354 жыл бұрын
@@rawbbingmysellph7464 I saw the show live and I must admit most of the ref's were pretty bad, late stoppages, bad breaks from clinch. This ref was definitely one of the better ones super cool dude; even took a picture with him! The first round was fire and after that.....clinching all the time. I liked petch at the point where he fought roosmalen and beat him. After that he always clinched and i dont undestand why he didnt fix it like sittichai does. I hope against serhi he fixed that if not i never watch a fight from petch again!
28:56 I love how Petch is almost laughing at Kevin there. Kevin kept complaining about the clinch when he should've been throwing knees like Petch was. People can blame the ref all they want, but Kevin lost this fight all on his own.
@TheeDBVideos4 жыл бұрын
Yea he threw 5 total clinch knees in 5 rounds bro, he grabbed and held every other time. Not how clinching is supposed to work and petch gets away with it not speaking english so every ref feels the need to give 15 warnings.

Ugly fight but this is 100% by design from Van. He knows he has no chance w a stand-up fight, so the game plan is to grind and push forward, hoping for a few things: 1) take away the left kick (done), 2) hope judges award flailing strikes, quantity over quality and 3) mask the talent deficit by continually pressing forward and into Petch. Bonus for Van was to get some absolutely bullshit ref decisions: missed the knockdown knee, gave about 8 elbow warnings w no point deductions and takes a point in the last 30 seconds from Petch who is not instigating the holding/clinch. So, shitty fight but that was Van's only hope to pull it out.
Kevin won this. Petch looked overwhelmed, and in the 5th, lazy. He has been a legend, but like Manny and many others, all greats get old.

Vannostrands cut man is sloppy. you have 50 seconds to stop bleeding - First, wipe the face/nose. insert plug or swab - apply soft pressure to stop bleeding & help form a clot. DON'T have the fighter blowing his nose, then jam and twist that massive swab like drilling for oil. It only distress's the delicate tissue and prevents clotting. Another technique is to use the EnSwell in conjunction with a piece of cut aid (homeostatic dressing) to stop bleeding in 10 to 20 seconds.
