GLORYHAMMER is the new project of Christopher Bowes, the mastermind of the Pirate Metal sensation ALESTORM. "Tales from the Kingdom of Fife" is a concept album and tells the story of an alternate -history medieval Scotland, a realm of dragons, wizards, magic and dark sorcery. It is the legend of the glorious hero Angus McFife, who wages a long war against the evil wizard Zargothrax, in order to free the people of Dundee. GLORYHAMMER clads these stories in a symphonic Power Metal armor, which will take the listener by storm and will transport them right into the midst of an epic adventure. Before any of you judge this band, go see them live. I just did at graspop metal meeting 2014..And these guys frikking rocked. The guitars sound great, the vocals are powerfull...the keyboards smash The entire crowd was with the band. And people kept shouting HOOTS after the concert! HOOTS!HOOTS!HOOTS!!

It's true. I never heard about them either before Graspop but they are definitely my favorite discovery of this festival, together with Alestorm. It's just plain fun and you could see the band members of both bands were just having a blast during the show... I love it.
