Glover is such a fascinating game to me. I don’t mind either console version, though I can’t deny the N64 version is the most defined and the one people should check out. On a side note, when it comes to the music, am I the only one who prefers the N64 score? It’s sequenced with MIDI, but each track is more full and longer than the soundtrack for the PS1/PC versions. Not to say the music is bad on PS1, it’s still quite good. It just rubbed me the wrong way when the tracks were shorter, some of the compositions were less melodic and they all cut up abruptly into silence (even though that was typical for the time).

I personally couldn't get into Glover the few times I've tried it. I love 3D platformers like Banjo-Kazooie, but something about Glover just always felt off to me. It also seemed like every time I've tried the game, I for whatever reason started feeling light headed and the music and sound effects just wouldn't do it for me so I'd lose interest quickly and want to stop. Maybe I'll give it another go because I really love the concept and I want to love the game and see why so many others enjoy it so much.

This game gets way too much hate, it’s sad that it lived in Super mario 64’s and Banjo Kazooies shadow :( Hopefully it will get more attention soon. Whoever has the rights to the game now, please give us Glover 2

Pico interactive do, they wanted to finish it and release it but there’s some legal troubles about who actually owns the rights so seems stuck at the moment

Bear in mind that’s the “remaster” but I personally don’t think they did a great job of it

I recall seeing this game displayed next to Ocarina of Time and FzeroX at ToysRUs. It was popular enough that it was demoed against PS1’s Crash Bandicoot 3. Pretty fun title with good production quality

Popular / they were getting a real good price from hasbro to shill it for them 😂

What in N64 games still look better than water in games newadays. Water in N64 had character. The transparent simple blue/green effect is just magical.

Wave race is still better than a ton of modern water physics right!

I remember trading in both Donkey Kong 64 and Pokemon Snap for Glover when I was a dumb kid. Within the first 10 minutes of playing, I realised what a horrible mistake I had made. I got back on my bike, cycled the 15-20 minute trip back to the store, and convinced the store owner to let me trade my games back. Luckily, he agreed. I haven't played Glover ever since.

It’s fair to be honest, never gone crazy price wise….theres also the $20 steam remaster which although is cheapest is quite good value for money I guess but it doesn’t look much better than n64 version but I guess it gives you more controller options

I still remember the first one too (but not necessarily the actual buttons): Fart, hiccup, burp, Ba-BAWK!, fart, fart, hiccup, hiccup (Next one was just fart, chicken, fart, chicken...)

I remember seeing reviews about it when I was a kid. They were quite positive but back in the day I used to play mostly with my brother and friends so it had to be stellar to get me to buy it, which I didn't. I think its problem it's that it hasn't the charisma of a cutesy character, like Yoshi, nor for mature audiences so it flopped despite being good.
@n64glennplant Жыл бұрын
I know when you mean, just look at the remaster 2022 to see that the n64 version still looks best to realise it’s a great title
