I remember this game going from 'kinda frustrating' to genuinely 'pretty fun' the moment I turned off the setting that reversed your controls when you stood on top of the ball. But here we have Jirard, within the first 20 seconds, loud and clear, explaining "it's a supplement that you mix in with your drink". Thank you, that's all I wanted to know! Did Joe just assume that everyone already knew that? I mean I could probably look at the packaging and put 2 and 2 together, but even then, selling a product means that YOU are responsible for 110% clearly communicating what EXACTLY it is you sell, even including "common sense" details so that even dimwits like me understand what you are selling.

I actually liked the tutorial level, and as a result looked forward to the rest of the game. I was disappointed. I think what could have really improved it would have been a series of shorter levels that were sort of puzzle like platforming challenges. Never played it but I remember people liking it and it getting good ( like in the 70s) reviews so I'm surprised he disliked it so much.

One of those frustrating games you would rent from blockbuster and be stuck with for a week. Still it’s nightmare inducing creepy clown worlds have always stuck with me

I remember enjoying this game as a kid. I know I never beat it, but I know it was my game of choice for a short period of time at least.

I feel like the base for a really good game is there. Maybe with a reboot using more modern standards for controls and cameras, making the story a bit more detailed and develop the levels and enemies more, while utilizing the story premise and game goal of moving the ball across levels to an end goal could work. Take a page from the Mario games where they have different stars to collect and make it so there’s different goals in big open world levels you have to put the ball through.

This game gets truly frustrating. Even poorly designed at times. But I still LOVE it. The style, concept and basic gameplay elements are still really unique to this day. The reason I'm one of the crazies that shout this games name from the top of the mountains is because I want this same thing but more competently put together with modern game design knowledge.
