For me the problem was the small plug that goes into the module, I fitted both new glow plugs and BERU relay with no success, later I discovered that the connecting wire can “melt” overtime, replaced it and all my issues finally gone. P.s it is very easy to replace :)

Hello, it depends on the manufacturer. But most of the cars have a glow plug control unit.

Hello Tamás Shevala, thank you for your comment. All functions of the original part are present. The glow time will be the same. We have also mechanically strengthened it, as you have already seen in the video. Please check if BMW recommends to change the glow plugs on your car.

Hello Mr. Meaney, for our GCU you don't need any OBD device. It's just plug and play and don't need to be relearned.

I have bought model number 450 11 0350 for a 2005 E90 2.0D. I had a beru unit which failed so I replaced the glow plugs and the unit for a second hand worked fine for a while then started throwing an error, not always coming on. I have now fitted the Hitachi unit and am getting an error on all four glow plugs that were replaced three weeks ago. This morning I got the glow plug warning light also. Can you tell me what is wrong?

Hello Richard, it's difficult to say what the problem is. Please use an oscilloscope to check if there is a communication between ECU and GCU.
