Great demo! This will be very helpful to anyone that runs across it. I wish this was out when I was heavy in graphic design and working with a cash flow! BTW... a shout out to your adorable, well-mannered son! I'm glad to see he has a great mentor for a father! Lucky young man.

HI, Great video. Is it very difficult to learn the programming end of this?
@imagineform5 жыл бұрын
No, it’s pretty easy. If you want to design your own stuff you will need to learn a SVG program like Inkscape (free) or adobe illustrator (paid). For more technical stuff a CAD program is useful. I use Inkscape and Fusion 360.

Does it really cut 1/2 inch acrylic in 1 pass? How much does it take to cut, for instance, a 8inch by 8 inch square of 1/2 inch acrylic? Thanks
@imagineform5 жыл бұрын
Yes I have cut 1/2 in one pass, Its not fast, I think 4 IPM, so your square would take ~8 minutes, I know some other folks on the forum have had good luck with doing a quick pass to basically score the surface and then take a second pass slower, I haven't played around with it that much, Just did a few test cuts to see if it could

For the ruler there is both. You can select the operation in the left hand column. But it should populate automatically

It's kinda loud and slow compared to other lasers. It looks like it has limited cutting height. We engrave glass and crystal mugs and trophies it doesn't seem to be good for those items.
@imagineform6 жыл бұрын
Yeah it only has a max height of 2” , that has bit me a couple times. The engrave speed depends on the resolution you choose. It is a bit loud when it’s running but not having an external cooler and air assist is nice. One thing that really amazes me is I can cut 1/2” acrylic in one pass! All in all I’m really happy with it, but obviously it won’t suit every user.

I can't believe you put you thumb on the lens, Where is are the safety glasses for your kid?
@nogun21147 жыл бұрын
Solar Electronics Yeah that was my first thought. If you have to make that choice, give the younger man the protective eyewear. He will need his eyes for a lot longer then you. You can not judge a father by just a few actions, so don't. Still this and the need to push that button himself kinda suggests a theme to me. Give the kid all he can handle I say and protect your children first. But that's just me being over critical I guess. + for getting him the hall of fame mario T-shirt. Now that's proper parenting. Also (puts face in hand and shakes head) he said it himself: "you are only supposed to touch the matt black surfaces." So why is he touching the lens? 2 times!

Come on man, @ 4:25 into your video, sorry but you place your thumb directly on top of the lense. and...That's just one minute after you pointed to the lense and said..."there's the lense, definitely don't want to touch that!" Not trolling but it just jumped out at me. Overall your doing a good job. What a great kid! Looks like he enjoys attention from you. So please listen up. You kinda come off as... almost 'selfish' by not including the young gentleman more in the unboxing. So do the kid a great favor. Make the lad 'shine and feel good about himself!' Mental health is very important, so just do it. You will come across as someone well tuned.
