He did try to have him listen to 343GS during the fight also, he tries to convince the Arbiter that the Forerunners died and did not transcend. He only says this if you play on Legendary. Clearly the Arbiter was listening to him and not pointing his weapon at him before the Leader shot him. But they didn't have time to dialogue too much because of the falling station, but even then he tried to reason with the Arbiter during the fight. He clearly did not want to kill the Arbiter, but he also wouldn't allow himself to die without giving a fight so he could probably escape. He may have also considered that reinforcements could be sent at the Arbiter's location In the end whichever of them survived the message would carry on.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Terminals and their locations (with help from Halopedia): 0:09 - One of the computer consoles located on the left side of the Pillar of Autumn's bridge. All the console's screens flash "INCOMING MESSAGE" in red, and a crewman is standing beside it instead of manning it. 1:49 - Near the start of the tunnel in the level "Halo", you will come across a ledge leading to the next section; if you carry on the route rather than make the jump, you will drive past a small alcove. The terminal is at the far end of the alcove. 4:16 - The Truth and Reconciliation's Bridge, in the middle of the front holographic displays. It is colored red to stand out from the rest. 6:31 - "The Silent Cartographer", located against a Marathon symbol-shaped structure near the center of the island where the first Hunter/Mgalekgolo pair is fought, on the circular part and beneath the "bridge". 10:01 -"Assault on the Control Room", located at the bottom of the pit in front of the Control Room structure at the end of the level; the terminal is on the ground, under the base of a large metal strut that runs diagonally down the front building. 12:33 - "343 Guilty Spark", found while riding the third elevator that will allow you to escape the underground facility; you'll find the terminal above the doorway you came out of. It can be reached by activating the elevator, then timing it correctly and jumping off onto the platform below (though there is only one possible attempt due to the lack of elevator controls on the top floor). 16:21 - On the Library's third floor, you will eventually come to the Index chamber - a room with a large circular room, with the Index platform above it. Go either right or left and jump over the low barriers until you get to the opposite side. The terminal flashes yellow, and can be clearly seen across the chasm. 18:33 - "Two Betrayals", in the Control Room at the level's very beginning; just walk around the circular platform and the terminal can be found directly across from the central console. 20:41 - "Keyes", found after the player finds Captain Jacob Keyes absorbed into the Proto-Gravemind. Eliminate nearby Covenant and Flood forces, then search the sunken crevices to the side of the raised platform. The terminal is a red holographic panel, and will be on one of the right crevice's walls. 24:00: "The Maw", found in the cryo Bay's second floor, where Sentinels are fighting a large Flood force. The terminal is a computer screen on the wall, similar to the first terminal. There's also an eleventh terminal, but it's actually not in the game proper, but rather on the Halo Waypoint Classified section, which is now defunct.

It's because the humans and forerunners were not on speaking terms. I've seen this complaint a lot. But a little forethought tells you why the humans didnt beseech the forerunners. The forerunners had, in the scope of their time reference, just got done almost wiping out the precursors over jealousy. Why would the humans entreat with a group that just violently killed their creators and friends. Plus humans had no time for anything. The rate at which the plague spread made it so the humans could only move and glass. As they were doing. They were trying to scorch earth as many planets as possible to deny the flood any food. Even if they wanted too they probably didnt have any time to actually talk to any one as they had to glass the planet they had just reached then move on until the flood starved.

Can we get a version of this with all of the games subtitles turned on? That would be great. Thanks.

Who else wished Kinsler would of ran into q no bullshit UNSC officer? Because I would of loved it if he got a field execution. Cause I believe he did a hell of a lot more damage. Though death by angry mob is good enough.

Does anyone else think the Librarian is a fool for leaving both the Didact and the Flood alive? No? Just me?

The idea that some part of the Flood could be beyond the rings AOE isn't completely without merit (As the forerunners didn't see where they originally came from as far as I can tell) . Clearly though they should have programmed the monitors to destroy all the samples once their experiments to try and find a "cure" were concluded. (Whether successful or not)
@Anomaly-uz9pr5 жыл бұрын
Yes the flood should have been completely destroyed
@FrostyWheats5 жыл бұрын
TheDjbz old post but whatever The Forerunners did not know where the Flood came from although they had suspected it was created by the Primordials (which is correct). Like Spark pointed out and was right about, there is likely Flood floating around in the Galaxy somewhere so not researching them based on the fear of them escaping is dumb once you consider that. I also think that Spark should’ve continued research as he was assigned with 5 directives in mind: 1)Activate ring in case of outbreak 2)Facilitate the ring 3)Guard the ring 4)Research the flood for a cure 5)Assist any reclaimers I say “assigned” and not “programmed” because it he was programmed he wouldn’t have improvised and instead kept to a strict regimen. Spark should’ve continued the research on his own instead of letting them sit around in containment. The librarian probably intended Spark to continue research but he just didn’t.

A little trivia: before being named 2401 Penitent Tangent the developers referred to him as either “7 Broken iPod” or “49 Fucking Lightbulb”
@halinaqi21943 жыл бұрын
Close but you're wrong. Those nicknames are the joke names of the other installation monitors, 7 broken ipod would be ring 2, 49 fuck light bulb would be ring 3, and so on, if I remember right

Imagine something like Sadie's Story directed by Denis Villeneuve. That would actually work really well for Halo.

The meddlers I think. We have no information on them other than that they were meddling in the affairs of the galaxy while the native species were busy rebuilding their civilization after re-seeding.

If non hostile. For example a tired grunt or a wounded elite unable to fight. That has stumbled away from the battle. Most certainly. If hostile then he’d be dead before he could offer.

hey thanks for putting all these in one video, its excellent! After just listening to the ODST one (i remember hearing 90% of it, but not know if it was finished or not) i have to say i think it was utterly pointless. and pretty unbelievable with the Commissionaire.... like really? People are going to shut down the city in a time of crisis because he says so? and cops are going to kill innocent civilians for no reason just becuase of his command?.... and then while it is kind of a cool personal story, it really has no impact on anything. idk.

Not gonna lie, these sure are worth the find during our game runs on the Master Chief Collection. Bonus if you read a lot on the Expanded Universe lore, particularly The Forerunner Saga when it comes to CEA, 2A, 3, and 4.

Not that there was a connection back then. But 343 could retconn it to be the endless, otherwise it's probably proto-covenant.

After watching the Covenant AI segment, I bet what happened is that is a forgotten construct, replicated out of reverence, though with ignorance. So they find the room in the forerunner dreadnought that houses an AI. They think it is a room for prayer, they see the slightly dented logic circuit but misidentify it for an incense holder and replaced it. They then put an identical “prayer” room in each ship they make. It’s quite horrific if you think about it, a sapient life is made, without recognition, spends it’s entire existence aware of things but no real control…I can totally see how it would want to be free.
